To be fair, it's the first time in almost 7 years that fashion has actually voluntarily acknowledged Chanel's existence. Oh course, they're gonna helicopter with it.

Everyone looks great now that they're in properly sized production samples instead of jockeying for the runway samples that were clearly not meant for anyone under 178cm. Looking forward to the video and runway pictures, the candid video looks promising so far.

I can see they were trying to bring an element of fun to this but unfortunately the clothes are too dull, dark and lack direction to fulfill the fresh, fun Chanel we’ve known. Like others have already said here his issue at BV was he didn’t know how to edit!! So even if there are a few nice looks here and there they are lost in the multitude of ideas hitting you all once. Had he mastered at the very least the art of editing he could’ve brought that to this role but unfortunately it’s his BV continuation of throwing everything at the wall!! The choices in colours and prints is overkill, he could’ve eased us in a little. This is where he will suffer, Karl’s collections and even Virgine had a cohesiveness that was strong, and so strong you knew it was Chanel regardless if you didn’t appreciate Virgine’s Chanel!!
