He is so not qualified for the job.. they shouldn't have to settle, it's beneath Chanel. There's nothing opulent or one-of-a-kind about it, a standard that Karl, with all the monstrosities he produced, still abided by. The models either look chubby, pedestrian or like they're heading to the most boring job in the world and opted for this but could've been Proenza, there's just something so fast fashion about it and putting it in a hideous station is not visually skyrocketing it, it almost makes sense..

... just vile, almost on the same level of Virginie's white dress with the hoodie for the cruise show in Marseille..

Honestly? Unwatchable from what I'm seeing so far.
Again, another Bottega 2.0 revamp collection with CC logo accessories.
Even the quirky / cringe "Happy days" OST song...he's so stubborn and stuck with this idea of intellectual pretentious "elevated" fun, it's so annoying. Remember when they used the Beverly Hills 90210 OST melody for his latest Bottega campaign? His CHANEL so far it's basically reheated Bottega stale food.

Yea I saw that yellow-ish outfit and I wanted to throw up.

On the other hand, I saw one suit with fitted shoulders! They did listen to the customers and made a few in classic fit.

Honestly, the first scene is unsettling: no sensible person wears stilettos on the edge of the platform. This is city survival 101. Do his assistants not know? Post covid, no one does it any longer. this doesn't work in NYC now. Unrealistic.

Finally, it's a hodgepodge of stuff, and 90% of them don't look Chanel. Zara Collection will soon make copy cats with better quality at 1/100th of the price.

Under Virginie we had 6k sequined t-shirts and 5k glued sequins jeans, under MB we're getting a sequined "I LOVE NY" t-shirt for...10k? That's probably rock bottom reached and we're just at his second collection. Even Virginie with her Philipp Plein inspired LA cruise and hooligans Manchester show wouldn't even dared sending down the runway something so cheap and uninspired.

They really should've just had a train platform set built in Park Avenue Amory. It would've made for a much better show experience than a cramped platform.

Come to think of it, the Calatrava space would be much better. It's airy and modern.
Even better, they could have done the show during commute hours but fencing off the middle runway somehow. It would fit. (I wonder if the cops dislike this plan?) the energy would have been much more alive rather than a dreadful abandoned station.
(But I learned that MB's aesthetics is different.)
