Chanel Two Tone Hose F/W 08.09

absolutely nothing special about them..

LOOK EVERYONE I BOUGHT MY STOCKINGS AT CHAAAAANEL!

^ lol :D just_me .. so funny. Am not a fan of these tights. Id get laughed at where I live if I wore them.

and then they get a run in them two days laters and its whatever-odd dollars down the drain :)

I like the way AA calls them 'either or' tights... I don't like the look of them in the sample shots, but I think it's because the legs wearing them are more like ordinary-girl legs than Chanel-girl legs. I know which I have, and it ain't the latter.

Those ombre tights, on the other hand (or foot) look a lot more wearable and might even be fun to make.

I love the look of this hose..and it's slimming effect.
However I am not sure if I would buy the original Chanel ones given my luck with hosiery, they inevitably snag after a few wears, I can't/don't want to imagine how I'll feel if that happens to me when I am wearing the Chanel ones.
By the way, Urban outfitters is having a special on the knock-off, it's now 2 pairs for $10, or one pair for the usual pair of $14.
I purchased them, so I'll report back on the quality once I get them.

I'm not going to buy them now , for tights that is ridiculous I got told £40 originally :(

I thought they'd be flattering to legs but I don't like the AA ones, I think its because they're sheer at the front, rather than 100% opaque. Also, surely the sheer half won't be up to much wear before it runs?

I want a nice pair of two-tone tights that's properly opaque for winter wear, half-sheers won't cut it in the icy rain, I'll just look like a very cold clown.

Wait...AA has the knock-offs too? I though it was just UO.

Nah, that's just me getting confused because I remember AA had those two-tone 'jester' style of tights.

They're in store! Should I buy them or are they too faddy? I have a pair on hold...

Difficult decision - because if you wear them and decide you don't like them, resale on ebay might be hard (unlike with other items) because of the high chance of damage.

Depends how much you're in love with them (and how much cash you have). In an ideal world, check them out in the shop. If anything seems sub-standard, walk away, because this is not a versatile item that'll last for years. But if you're in utter lust, buy them.

When you get home, don't wear them straight away. Let them sit for a few days while you consider if they're really something you'll use a lot. If you've gone off them, sell them on ebay, pristine and unworn, and hopefully get a good price.

And if you like them and keep them, us deprived people want to see pictures!

The ones on ebay are nearing $400 and there's still a day left. $400 for tights, I could never.
