I am sorry but that's quite a bad outfit I don't think the coat/jacket nor the shoes compliment the outfit. It would have been better with maybe some red shoes and no jacket/coat.

You hear the most interesting things when you put your recorder on the celeb table at a press conference.

The place: New York's Ritz Carlton, scene of a presser for Young Adult, in which Charlize Theron plays a delusional 37 year old who returns to her hometown to win back her high school boyfriend who's married and has a new baby.

In his preamble to a question, a New York reporter summarizes her character as "unsympathetic, she seems to be an alcoholic, delusional, mentally ill person, kind of a loser."

Listening later, during the question, I hear co-star Patton Oswalt whisper to her, "Let it go, let it go."

Theron clearly whispers back, "I'm gonna f--- him up."

Her response to the microphone: "Well, first of all, nice to see you again. Second of all, thanks for insulting me. Third of all, I've never been a fan of labels."

The lesson: Don't insult Charlize Theron -- or anybody she plays.

i think the shoes, the blazer and the pants are great, it's blouse that's ruining the outfit.
she always strike me as chilled person, must say i'm surprised she reacted the way she did at the conference, she seems to have taken it far too personally.

I wouldn't say she's not chill, but Charlize has long had a reputation for being very blunt. She doesn't sugarcoat things and she is not one to bite back her tongue on anything. This goes back all the way to the days when she was dating Stephen Jenkins from Third Eye Blind.

oh. i didn't have a clue, i was judging her based on the interviews i've seen, no she doesn't sugercoat it, but i never seen her being so defensive either so far, but i guess this explains it.

The outfit would have been a hit w/ a different blouse. as for Charlize's personality, she's a known word that rhymes with witch, so not surprised she took criticism of a "character" she played so seriously.

Wow, surprised she took that reporter's question personally, since it was about the character and not her. Agree that something throws the latest look off (for me it might be the shoes) but she still looks great!

The hair is really sweet like that. Not sure about the plunging neckline, plus the undone ties, plus the chain necklaces; seems like too much going on right there. But she looks lovely nonetheless (though I still prefer a deep crimson lip on her as opposed to neutral or hot pink).

I love the hair and the make-up at the Gotham Awards, but I agree the dress is not great, just kind of meh, although Charlize makes it bearable.

Charlize is not a b****. She had the most tedious interview with a Greek guy who wished her dogs to die while one of them had cancer at the time. She totally caught the humour and laugh it...Don't know what happen with that last guy but from what I read they "knew" each other.. Plus she sat through painfully awkward Italian interview with men trying to grope her so yes she may be blunt but she knows how to take a laugh especially at herself.

I love the last 2 looks. She is experimenting quite a big those days. That's interesting

i love the Gucci outfit, i'm only undecided on the hair like that with this dress, but overall stunning.

on the other hand, i don't think even Charlize can look good in that jumpsuit. it's the fabric, but still, she looks good.
