Charlotte Dellal, in stilettos

Her sister Alice is a model like their mother Andrea Dellal, former eighties fashion muse. Both are inspirations for Charlotte, a cobbler with sophisticated taste.

It won’t come as a surprise that Charlotte loves fashion. Daughter of Andrea Dellal, aka Rio, the 80s Brazilian supermodel, she was born into it. From her childhood spend between South Africa, England and France, she kept a taste for travel and always fly to Rio at least twice a year. But it’s from her base in London that she just launched her shoe brand, Charlotte Olympia, showcasing little wonders with vertiginous heels to be ‘sexy and glam’. After graduating from Cordwainers, a international reference, she went to the British College of Fashion but decided to change her orientation within the first year. ‘I found the creative process more satisfying’, she explains. At home, don’t look out for ballet flats, as she ‘only wore flat shoes once’. It’s in heels that she lives. This mean a certain simplicity in her shoe designs, as to enhance them. Same thing for her dream wardrobe, that she matches with her creations. In her closet? Vintage numbers from her mother, jeans, Topshop dresses: ‘Nothing complicated or extravagant so my feet stand out’.​

I was wondering who the plonker was! I agree Harumi that the leopard print pill-box hat "rocks"!

Just got myself this month's Paris Vogue and nearly wet my pants as Charlotte is featured under the "hot new things" editorial and is photographed by Mario Testino! Yes there are only two pics and they are rather small but she's in THE fashion bible!
