why is chanel iman doing more shows than charo? i bet chanel will be sweeping the fall shows this february. charo is beginning to look one-dimensional to me. look at the 3 pics and its all the same- cutey cutey im-so-innocent smile. i understand its candid and its not for an edit or campaign but look at chanel and how she projects herself with ease.

^ Probably true but it's also based on a person's personal taste, as always. To me, Chanel is, well no offense meant, unattractive and...just not pretty. IMO, Charo, even if she's "wham-bam-supermegamodel" material (yet), she definitely has the makings. Not to mention that fact that for the most part, she's naturally pretty.

Perhaps Charo is deemed too young looking? Check her out at the February issue of Teen Vogue. She looks like a 12 yr old. Its the Dorian Gray syndrome I tell ya.

@xxkissbangxx- i am rooting for charo to have a really successful high fashion career, but i am beginning to get tired of waiting. where is she? i cant wait to see her butt burning the catwalks. and a couple of ads and edits wont hurt either. thats why im wondering why chanel is more visible than her. im wondering coz charo is prettier. but one gets bored waiting.

Either she's not ready and Ford agrees or she's just not deemed worthy by the designers and the editors. A third place win doesn't guarantee you success. It opens doors for you but you have to stake a claim. You have to really want it. This mentality is why Elite Look of the Year losers like Cindy Crawford and Stephanie Seymour went on to have bigger careers than the winners.

Chanel is an arresting looking girl (and you can't refute that if you go by her amazing exposure at the NY and European shows) with an interesting background story to boot. Some of us here may think she's not all that but clearly she is. The people who matter definitel think so. And in the end isn't that what counts?

Sorry honey, I don't buy Teen Vogue. The issue is all over the newstands and book stores here in NYC so you may want to try your local bookstores.
