I don't know what season it's from. It seems on the website that it might be a submission in a contest, but I can't read dutch...

nice pictures mulletproof... i gotta investigate that designer now!!

Referring to post#301^ More of Virginie Callebaut's work can be found at http://www.virginiec-mode.be/. There is a particular collection there, which is modelled with bread.

Maybe this thread should go into Art & Design or Personal Style (who knows?). It doesn't seem to be a trend this year anymore... but it's a good source for people who like this style.

thank you.

i'm not very fond of his latest collections but he's done some really loveable stuff. he's brazilian and shows in sao paolo fashion week, in case you're interested.

fw05 was a little child-like, i'm not sure if it's good enough to be posted here but i love it, there's a hans and gretel reminiscence about it so..what the hell. :p

In my opinion, braids. Pig tail braids, ponytail braids, etc. But I could be wrong. That is just what I would do :flower:

ah thanks dear. I always wear french braids, braids. :flower:

I'm loving these:

Baby Barrettes, Set of 2
Urban Outfitters
$10.00

Recapture the innocence of your youth with these adorable plastic barrettes, in all the classic shapes: hearts, bows, ovals, and doubled up hearts. Metal clasp.

^ so cute...alternatively you could just go to the kiddie hair accessories section at the drugstore - they have simple, cute and colourful hair doodads that cost practically nothing. I have some little red bow clips from target that were only $1 and they're something of my signature now I wear them so much. ^_^

I  this thread...

here's a shoulder bag i bought a few weeks ago... i think it's pretty cool...

^ That bag is almost creepy, I dig it!

I just saw the title to this thread and the first thought that came to mind was grass stains on everyone's knees. Imagine people rushing to dye their knees green instead of putting fake whiskers on their crotches?

:)

I work at a children's clothing store, and the latest trend is wearing those personalized barrettes for little girls. I order them for my friends and I have some for myself. They're so cute!

^ :o so cute!

on the streets I'm definitely seeing this trend interpreted through accessories rather than clothing itself...most european girls don't really have the figures to be able to pull off childish clothing unless they're quite petite. but accessories are an easy way to take part in the whimsy of reliving one's childhood. I see all the big plastic technicolour jewellery in the high street shops as a direct interpretation of this. (masked under the guise of hipster/80s revival style)

I've got a few childish brooches...might try and post a picture of them if I find time.

i adore this thread.

like someone mentioned, i also tend to do an either-or factor with this look. i can do one fun piece with regular clothing if i'm lucky...i'm very curvy, therefor "adult" looking and can look a bit fetish-y on me. i, and my lover (:ninja:) do not mind this at all when we are behind closed doors, but i find it very inappropriate on me for real life.

that said, if you can pull it off...go right ahead! it's precious and fun!

when i think child like fashion..i think japanese street fashion

the whole fruits style is so child like..and i think that's the most fun an adult can have dressing up like a colorful child..with quirky pieces here and there

for some reason..when i look at european runways..the child like feel is somewhat darker..and gloomier...not so feeling it

^ so true. a lot of japanese street style is very childlike with the bright colours. and so often they would incorporate toys & similar touches.

i'm very inspired with childlike fashion.
