I have the blue nuit from A/W 2005 that I got from Aloha Rag. My this season's blanc I got from Louisa Via Roma. The leather on my blue is nicer - softer, more wrinkley - like the leather will be on your craie. However, I do love my blanc - it is beautiful (but given the choice I would have gotten the craie, particularly because of the leather issue - that's why I'm so excited for you!) BTW - I've never had a problem with the lock or any of the hardware peeling - and I've carried my blue nuit ALOT.

ahh youre getting me SO excited yeah i was actaully considering getting the midnight blue since it would look nice with any clothes caus ei always wear jeans. but white is more me ish =) yeha i heard the new leather for 06 is more stiff and strcutured i def like the old leathre more! can you pm me and post the pictures of your bags!!! esp your craie one, or have you already posted them up?

Thanks Jan, Sun. I have never owned a gray or white/creme bag, so both are "new" for me... I was thinking initially about black, so had the noir sent in...then I saw the blanc today...

(I like how I look a bit thinner in the blanc photo, but cannot let that sway me as it is camera-angle related...unfortunately, I ate too much pizza tonight...husband is out of town, so I openned a bottle of wine and keep staring at my bags hoping for clarity...)

Damn Sun, I like both ideas..."edgy" and "sophisticated"... I am unsure of the youth angle mentioned earlier, I am 38...but I feel a hell of a lot better than I did in my 20s, so I suppose "young" is a good sentiment as well...

SoCal, it's funny - when I look at the pics of the bags by themselves, I like the noir best - but when I see them on you, I like the white ALOT more! (sorry - that probably doesn't help you one little bit). How about this - I think white bags are alot more happening right now - and a great rather edgy look for fall/winter/spring time as well as the expected summer time. Do you already own a terrific white bag? If not, I'd go with the white.

SoCal !! *whispers* WHITE WHITE WHITE WHITE ...... You've got Whiskey which is a great all around beat-em-up-and-don't-worry-every-day-kinda-bag and then there's BLANC -- beautiful, classy, elegant, stunning!! Noir is a beauty too but similar in purpose to the Whiskey.

Nordies in Bellevue, WA stock

So decided to go and lust over all the chloe bags at my local Nordstroms and this time took pictures. Mind you, they're from my phone, but y'all will get the idea.

They had an amazing pistacio colored Betty bag. It was beautiful and I love green (lighter ones that is) to death. It wasn't the large, it was the medium size? But the Bettys really haven't hit me yet like the paddys, but give me time, I'm sure it won't be long. Afterall, I am totally new to Chloe.

I'm also sold on my silver paddy. They had a silver and an anthracite and I just love silver although Anthracite is beautiful. All the SA's said they prefered it over the silver, but I dunno -- I just love silver!

SoCal -- thought of you! They had the zippys in the silver, anthracite and noir and whiskey too. Definitely keep that BLANC! Besides, Blanc is soooooo rare now

Nordies phone number in Bellevue is 425-455-5800 and ask for JAIME in handbags and tell her Monica sent you. She is by far, the sweetest and I have known her now for 5+ years ever since my Marc Jacobs addiction. It would really mean a lot to me if she at least knows I've helped her out since I really work this girl you guys! She is truly, the best. She knows I buy my bags from NM and Bergs and she's so sweet, she offers me her best opinion even though she's not getting a commission. Just her.

I know! I have a major zippy addiction going right now. I purchased the whiskey and blanc at Nordstroms and the noir at Neiman Marcus.

Noice! I loves pics. I wish my Nordies carried Chloe, I think the 'highest end' brand they have is..D&B? Juicy? It's quite sad, considering its only in the largest mall in the US.

Okay, I DON'T need an anthracite zippy, so you could have an "exclusive" on that one kare!

BTW, I purchased the chocolate Betty and it is a victim of fabric/dye transfer. Be careful of the Betty bags! My "leather expert" is trying to reduce the transfer, but said it is somewhat inevitable with this type of leather. So...Betty will soon go to either sis or ebay!

SoCal - here is my .02, or maybe .04! If you bought Betty at a department store, return her. NM and Nordstrom will take back bags with dye transfer - I have done it!

If you purchased Betty at a Chloe shop, show them the damage, and politely but firmly ask for store credit toward another bag. Get a Zippy in either Blanc or Noir (assuming they only have one or the other, not both) in exchange. Return the duplicate Zippy to either NM or Nordstrom, and now you can own all three colors without having to choose!

So why isn't that cute Iris satchel more popular? The one with the tassles on the bottom shelf in the first and second picture? It is also called the "mini speedy". It's adorable and under-rated, unless it just doesn't look that good IRL.

SoCal - OMG your bags are beautiful! I say go with the white - since you already have the more 'practical' whiskey colour. The white is very chic, very French Riviera in the summer drinking Kir Royales... while the noir is New York city, below 14th st., smoking outside of a hidden bar. I always like to romantisize my bag-carrying experiences.
