my designer purse was nicked by a pick pocketer!

OH MY GOD THAT'S MY #1 FEAR. I always picture myself putting up a huge fight if someone trys to take my bag, running after them desperately screaming to please take anything, take all my money, all my credit cards, all my jewelery, but just leave the damm bag!!

This is also the reason I will never leave one of my nice bags in my car. If my car gets stolen, I'll get over it, if my bag dissappears, I'll have a heart attack.

You know, at first, I fell fast and hard for the Edith -- but since I've been made to wait a few months I've moved on. The Edith is really cute, but I keep thinking its not for me anymore, I dunno. If the leather was more wrinkly/distressed I would go for it, but from all the photos I have seen on ebay they're all smooth and I don't like the brown lining at all. I am gearing more towards the Bettys.

For whatever reason, that pistachio green color betty is on my mind. It was totally cute! Also they had a large white betty which was fabulous. I just don't get why so expensive. Anyone????

I heard that some Ediths are more distressed than others - maybe you could get your hands on a squishy one? You'd love my chocolate paddy - it's like a sharpei.

I like the pistachio betty too - just worried I'd get denim on it. I don't get the price tags either - maybe because Chloe has become so trendy and popular with "Hollywood Starlets"? Although I live in Los Angeles - and those starlets are still carrying Balenciagas in real life ie not pictures where they were purposefully given bags to carry so as to increase their popularity.

Actually I think the best place to use our paddys is when we're out shopping... for more paddys.

Have any of you Californians been to the Beverly Center, the grove, or South Coast Plaza on a Saturday? Handbag Hog Heaven!!! I've seen women stalk each other in these places, hiding behind sunglass racks, etc. So as long as you keep shopping, you'll always have a time and place to bust out your paddy!

Just home from a shopping/returning trip, poured myself a glass of vino to catch up on the board and chill from the trauma of returning one of my paddys . Here's the shelf report from Portland IF mammab's SA sells out first, no phone pics - sorry :

Downtown Nordstrom:
Paddys - anthracite, silver and whiskey
Zippys - anthracite, silver and chocolate!
Several brown and blanc bettys and a cute sport betty.

Norstrom Washington Square: (ask for Kathi!)
Paddys - silver, and now a bleu claire
Zippys - silver, anthracite, chocolate and whiskey
and an abundance of bettys too.

J Star - thanks for the Marios tip! They had a few Chloes (only 1 paddy - silver) and a bag that shall remain unnamed on this board, but something that is making me go hmmmmmm......

Nobody has any nice bags here, we have no boutiques or anything in this little city.

Minnesota, Usa. We have an LV boutique, a NM that has a few bags and the largest mall in the US which has nothing good Trips me out that out of 500 some odd stores there are no luxury brands carried. Ok..I lied, bloomies has a black spy that has been there forever.

The other thing is they sell waaay too much juicy, do you really want to buy from a place like that???

No really, it's too weird how all of their pictures seem to come from such different sources, some of them (like the kooba sienna) are clearly the NM website pictures with the grey background.

No satchels...my current Chloe "collection" includes the following...

Large zippy in whiskey
Large zippy "inspections" in blanc and noir
Chocolate Molly
Chocolate Betty (w/ denim transfer )
Large silverado python (chocolate/cognac)

Edith on the way from NAP (but don't expect to love for same reason as indicated by mammab...had to "look" at it anyway

(Now I need a shot of tequila...)

Walk away from the tequila....am nursing a slight hang-over... Maybe I should have just eaten the sushi and called it a night .

Anyway....great bags...am going to our NM (KMart) here in St. Louis today ...I'll give a full report on the bag situation .

^ No tequila last night...just a couple of glasses of red wine...this morning I am on the kona coffee with half & half...still gazing at my blanc and noir zippys...husband returns home at 10:30 or so...will have to put them away before he returns as to not scare the poor guy...
