Oh but a bag is so much more satisfying than fixing the car! I should know, my car has been going to hell in a handbasket lately. I drop it off for more work on wednesday afternoon...after my hair appt, naturally. Can't miss a hair appointment lol.

I can soooo relate. $2K for a bag, okay... New tires, what?

Let me tell you, my car is in for a check-up today and the doctor just called to say it needs $1500 in work. I'm DYING trying to decide to do it or not, is it worth it, etc, spending this much money on my car is totally killing me and stressing me out.

However, if you dangled a bag I love in front of me and asked for $1500 I wouldn't hesitate to give you the money, in fact, I did that just last week to get my tan paddy:lol:

My priorities are so in order, spend $1500 to fix something on my car that could cause me to lose control on the highway, or don't fix it and buy a new bag.....hmmmm, tough decision, and I'm totally not kidding here ^_^

OMG I feel for you! Just last month the struts and coil springs on my car needed replacing They were so bad that the mechanic refused to release the car back to me while he ordered parts from the dealership. He said the same thing - lose control on the highway or fix the car! The work cost a little under $600. I hate car repairs!! My car is 10 years old this April, and I don't plan to retire it anytime soon. :D

well, the mail has come and gone. No wallet

Awww, we're all sending you virtual hugs :muscles: (imagine that is a hug, not a guy flexing!).

And the car is getting the repairs, there's no way around it.....so sad......

Socal - what are the measurements of your zippy? are you keeping all three colours?

That smiley guy looks like hes giving himself a hernia lol. I'm normally not so impatient but I dont trust my mail carrier. I have a different one every day and sometimes they deliver other peoples mail to my addresses and other times they come back and and theyre like oh...we forgot to give you some of your mail... Even though there is sig confirmation on this package, I can see them doing something stupid.

Colors

Yes it's me with more questions!! :p I have been soooo bad, I really should only be getting myself one bag a year (was going to do one Hermes a year) and here I am about to get more Paddingtons (still wants to get more Hermes too) ... Can someone please tell me what are all the colors the Paddingtons have ever come in? I've seen light blue, cream, whiskey, tan, anthracite, silver, gold, red, forest green ... What else am I leaving out?

there have actually been 3 from the white family: beige/sand, "old" white and ivory, and two reds (one true red, one a wine color)

i don't recall forest green -- do you mean khaki?

there was also a deep blue ("bleu nuit" i think?), sable (a pinkish brown), dark brown (in two shades: one reddish, one just brown), and for this season a dark grey. and of course black. for spring they are adding taupe, yellow and mousse (a greenish grey).

Nordstrom is usually pretty good with returns and exchanges^_^ . I just discovered that the anthracite Paddington I got yesterday had some cracks along the handles (they are definitely not normal distressing or imperfection on leather) so I'm sending it back:( . I called up Chloe at South Coast Plaza yesterday and boy was the saleslady rude! I just asked what colors the hobo come in and the saleslady said, "We don't have any." So I asked her again about the colors, and she said, "There were some colors, ok?" She just wouldn't tell me the colors for some reasons, so I asked her if she could just name a few and she said, "No!" Sheesh ... guess I'm not buying from that store.

Thanks Lilygirl!:flower: Now I want to get them all:woot: . I saw the forest green hobo on the NM website. They say it's Dark Forest Green although it looks black to me...

koukanamiya - congrats on your anthracite!

And I love how one of our first reactions upon receiving a new paddy is

MUST HAVE MORE!! :buzz: :buzz:

Thanks Blu!! At this rate, I'm going to get one in every color. This is the first time in my life where I got myself a "neutral" color. Most of my stuff is pink and purple.:p

that's not forest green, it's the khaki which is a greenish black (though i highly doubt that is the bag for sale on nm -- i'm sure it's the red, which is not the red pictured but the wine red)

What type of cracks? I'm asking because my whiskey Paddington has cracks in the paint or whatever it is that seals the leather seams along the handles and I can't decide if it is a problem or not. They aren't visible normally, but if you bend the handles you can see them.

cracks in the seams (which sounds like what you have youngprof) can't really be helped -- cracks in the actual leather are not normal.
