hi all, i've been keeping up with this forum although i haven't been posting any messages but i must say, that this should b made into a soapie.. perils of chloe or something like that. but anyway...
socal - CONGRATS!!
i love the blac but i'm scared to buy any whites coz i always wear dark clothes n i'm certainly not known for being careful hehee..
mammab - haven't heard fr u in a while.. any updates on when ur choes are arriving?
nawth - sigh.. LVR ugh... again.. what's up with their service
sigh.. the jeans moyen i've got is very unfortunate.. someone pls reassure me?? the leather where the h/ware of the lock is stitched on to it, the sides suffered and is really become very distressed .. is that a concern? and another thing is,.. on one of my handles, the 'stuffing' in it sorta broke away n i can squish the handle n feel nothing there

i'm freakin out nw.. Blu Genie: So sorry about the key thing! Yes, I do have a soft spot for the silver hardware. And today is day 8 for my wallet. It made it from the UK to the US in about a day and a half, its the USPS that is taking forever to get it to me. Also heard back from LVR, finally. They did send me the wrong pro forma invoice So now I have the right one. My car guy called, they can't find anything to fix. 
Diagnostics shows its an intermittant problem so whatever. I'll live with it.

So LVR update - I got a reply!! I was a big nag but I don't think it has anything to do with the volume of emails I sent but the fact I said I wanted to keep it (i.e. they keep my money! obviously they're not a fan of the return)... I put my order number in the header and said MISSING KEY too - wonder if that caught their attention? I put "THIRD MESSAGE" in 3rd email header and I said 'should I call you?' and mentioned being worried about the speed of their customer service on the other side of the sale and pulled out the "hope to hear from you soon or I may need to contact my credit card company" Bingo! 
Supposedly they'll contact Chloe for another key/leash and send ASAP.
Nawth21 - weird about your car. Not that you WANT to spend money on nothing, but it would be nice to throw some $$ at it if it solved your probs and allowed you to get out and show off yer paddy more

Hi, sorry but I have some more questions for you experts since I'm still really new at this. For those with anthracite bags, do you have any issues with the color fading or the leather turning less metallic? How do you take care of your anthracite bags to keep its metallic shine? i just want to be sure that my anthracite doesn't turn from dark metallic to dark grey over time.
I'm still debating between the hobo vs. the satchel. I'm going to try to find time to head into Nordstrom this week and do a comparison. Between anthracite and silver, which one do you think looks better on the satchel and which one looks better on the hobo? this is just in case I decide to get both, I don't want to have the same color. Or do you think I should go for white? TIA

As for the baby wipes, I use them on all my bags. I think I might be using the term untreated leather loosely. Perhaps porous is a better word? Leather that has not been pretreated by the manufacturer and has the potential for color transfer and staining. While a towel will probably accomplish the same goal of removing surface grime, the baby wipes make me feel as though bacteria and germs are also being removed, even though that is not the case, LOL! Can you believe I used to take Clorox wipes to my Balenciaga bag to disinfect? This is before I started reading handbag forums obviously... but the leather on my B Bag is still TDF!

i think the tapue looks nice too.
roey, i use baby wipes on everything including my balenciaga (it miraculously removed tomato sauce from my calcaire balenciaga). and sometimes i use them on the baby. which tan is gucci using for the horsebit? is it the original tan (like a cognac) or the tan from last season (which was more orange)? i loved the hazelnut and kicked myself for not getting it.
koukanimaya, i can't imagine the metallic would wear off separately form the color -- i can't imagine they dyed the bag grey then applied some sort of metallic coating. whatever they used must have metallic throughout. so the only risk i see is the color flaking off altogether (kinda like the metallic silverados where the paint or whatever would peel off and you could see black underneath). when you mentioned the cracks in the handle of your first bag that's what i though happened.

Blu_genie= Nope ive got my contacts on and ive got my hand on it trynig to feel the 'stamped on' chloe made in italy sign nothing there i raelly do think they forgot it siigh

Guys do you think i should just let it go? the CHLOE MADE IN ITALY sign stamped under the chloe gold plate? I did send an email to chloe and i told them about their faulty product without haveing the thingie stamped on , i wonder what there responses will be. i just hope i dont have to part with my bag for more than like a month!

Yes, mammab is teasing and tormenting us all..... and SoCal too... anticipay-yay-shun....
but the jeans moyen - I know the bags are supposed to get gushier as time goes on so hard to say about the distressing - isn't that their disclaimer? But the handle thing - sounds like it's not near the ends? I have some bags where the rolled form under the leather handles stops just a wee-bit too short so there's some unnerving extra free-leather dangle-age, but it would take eons for the leather to break. But if yours is in the middle or at least not near the end I would be upset - primarily for aesthetic and quality purposes. Did you buy from a retailer who could arrange repair or exchange?

Taking a wild stab - I'd say silver for hobo and anthra for satchel. Pourquoi? because the hobo's details seem to get lost more in the tumble of slouchiness, so I think it needs a lighter color to really get the Paddy-POP (that's the only issue I have w/ my choc hobo tester). Although since the hobo looks bigger you might look like a junior ghostbuster

My "latest" dilemma...whiskey shopping tote, black bowler, or (tan, black, or chocolate) small paddy satchel with the front pocket...(combined with blanc and noir zippy issues)...I returned the whiskey Edith to NAP, so that issue has been resolved successfully...
