Chloe 'Silverado' Bag

Cougess,

The seller asking 1200 USD for this bag. I am worry it is too good to be true. the seller dont have the receipt anymore but she claimed that she purchase from Chloe Store and she is a chloe VIP.

Do you know which season this bag belongs to? and does it look authentic to you?

Since these bags currently retail for $2100 and up, I think someone is trying to sell you a fake bag. These bags are available in many stores - don't risk getting ripped off.

But cougess, this original brown python was from 1st season launched (and the retail price was lower than $2100 then), I thought it can no longer be found in chloe boutiques, no?

The brown python bag appears to be very seasoned and used quite abit so maybe thus the seller is selling at lower price...

In my personal opinion, I think the brown python bag is authentic (based on the pictures I see)... there are certain details noted on the bag like the shape of the side pockets and the texture of the leather which the replicas will not possess.... So long the seller will guarantee that the bag you see is the actual bag for sale and you will receive and she accepts paypal (so that you are better protected for this transaction in case of a scam)....

I am sure there are a couple of TFS members that own this original brown - they can offer their opinions as they will know better. ;)

can anyone give me their opinion on the new silverado python doctor bags versus the silverado's?

I definaltey like the original silverado better, not sure why, I just dont really like the doctor bags

could you give me your opinion between the small and large silverado? which is the more popular size? thanks, guessgirl;)

The large looks more to me like a duffel bag. Unless you really need to carry a lot of things, the medium is a good medium sized day bag :)

Thanks for your compliments on Sylvie!!! :p

Medium size is generally the more popular size. The width is approx.15 inches.
Guessgirl96 is quite apt in describing the Large as a duffel bag. It can look that way. The width is approx.18-20 inches. The bag looks better when its filled with quite a load. The handles are quite broad, hence one's shoulders have to be fairly broad to enable a more comfortable use as a shoulder bag.

While the Medium may be easier to use as it can be be both a day & night bag and of course the size is quite eay to manipulate, I find the Large more special as it's just so unique and BIG!!!!
Anyway here is a pic of how the two look together....

oh my...she's got a name!;) that's too funny:lol: thanks, baghag for those pics...it really helped! how do your straps hold on your shoulder? also, does this bag slouch at all when it's filled?

Eclecticbagz...
I've pretty broad shoulders, so the wider straps sit pretty comfortably on them. However, the straps appear to be relatively shorter than the Medium. Perhaps due to the proportioning of the bag. When the Large is filled, it sits pretty well as the weight holds the shape down more. Like GuessGirl96 said earlier, if you have tonnes of stuff to lug around, everything but the kitchen sink that is , then this bag is for you. I find myself having to find stuff to fill this bag in just to hold its shape......nevertheless, I love it...Think I'll use it to work till I get sick of it...Hmmm...:)

Btw, are you considering the Doctor's bag? I've good feelings about this bag although there appears to be minimal, if any at all, good opinions about this bag. The brown looks great...wish I could see one IRL. Hope that someone who got the bag will join us at TFS real soon, if the owner is not already a member...then we'll get to know about the bag more :)

cougess...from some of the earlier posts in this thread, your collection of Python Silverados must be quite fabulous....If possible, would love to see pics of them, especially after the newest member *Large Bronze* joins the family... :)

I've seen the chocolate doctor's bag in person. It's very large, but the straps are too short to be worn over your shoulder. The leather is beautiful and incredibly soft.

I have also seen the doctor's bag...it reminded me more of a suitcase carry-on than a handbag. Might be good for work, but I did not love...

I saw it at NM and it was very soft, but looked like an overnight bag to me and not an every day bag. I did not care for it at all.

I like the large silverado, but even for me, this bag was just too big.

thanks, everyone for your opinions!!!

i was worried it would be too big...the sa was recommending it (she said it was a better size)because it is between a med and lg silverado, but judging from everyone's opinion, it must appear bigger because of the height...

btw...she said the silverados are classics now...is that true? also, can the grey python be an all year color? thanks again!
