are you referring to the chocolate python doctor bag? i received it the other day in the mail but i wasn't impressed with the coloring...seemed common...plus it was the exact same color as my balenciaga twiggy.

I received the "loden" python md. doctor today. , according to my husband and my father-in-law. Yes, they were invited to provide opinions at the "unveiling". The scales are taupe/green and the trim is green (silver-tone hardware). This one will go back into the mail tomorrow.

A photo of the chocolate md. doctor is also included. What do you think? I cannot make up my mind about this bag. I like it...but can't decide if it is too "Aspen" or something. Does it look western?

Finally, the red md. doctor? To keep or to return... I probably like this one the best (fit is the best, size is a bit different than the python, but I like the color/python aspect of the chocolate), but would I rather have this bag in red or a Ballenciaga???? Too many bags, so confused....

I've been using my black leather medium doctor bag all week and I really like it. Its a good size - not too small, not too big, and over time the leather and the bag soften up so its not too stiff. So, I'd keep the red bag - its more subtle than the balenciaga red, almost a totally different color. I also have the brown python which I'm still debating over. My choice is between the brown and the bronze. BTW - I also saw the goldish python bag (on NM and BG websites) at NM - its actually very nice looking, but definately a resort or spring bag. The loden has to go IMO. It can join its green brother that I will be returning tomorrow!

I don't really like the doctor style in general. Otherwise, I would love the loden in a regular medium silverado style.

Loden is packed and ready to go. It looks much better in photographs than IRL. IRL the silver hardware looks strange on the bag and the scales are dull. I am thinking about boxing up the brown sister today as well. I received the Balenciaga shoulder bag in chocolate yesterday and I think I like that color/tone better...

I was at Nordstrom's today and I saw a picture of a silverado that I think may be cafe. The python is close to the natural silverado from summer 05 and the leather part was a cafe color (as in coffee with a lot of milk). The contrast between the python and leather did not look that great. of course, I could be totally wrong on this. They are also coming out with a new line of silverado totes. The tote has 2 silverado style pockets on the side, flattens towards to top and a strap long enough to put on your shoulder. Medium leather is $1250 and medium python is $2700.

Yes, I saw a picture - did you? Its hard to tell what it will really look like, but I think Chloe has beat the silverado concept to death. I think the price of the leather is lower because the tote is smaller overall (not as wide). It will sell - esp if it comes in before Christmas because its the lowest price bag in the line now!

I haven't seen a photo but I simply cannot visualize it. Yeah, I'm not keen on all of the different variations of the original Silverado. I have the medium satchel and the tote, and I think I'm going to happy for awhile!

i'm having the same dilemma...i went to neiman's today feeling pretty confident in returning my chocolate python doctor and just as the sa took the bag out of the box, i had...eeks...second thoughts. it didn't help that her and a couple of other sa's said it was a great bag.

the reason i didn't care for it at first was that it looked so similar in size, and shape to my brown twiggy and spending two thousand more seemed almost ridiculous. i really wanted a python silverado, just not sure if i should wait for another color in the doctor style...

do any of you girls agree that the choco dr looks too similar to the brown twiggy?
