thanks everyone for the support! I got it today.

I love the large size.

I bought it used and the leather part is in great condtion and for the most part the scales are.

Is it natural for the scales to curl?

I got it in and here it is.

I bought it used but I am glad I held out for the large size.

It was a bit more "used" than I thought...the leather parts are perfect but the scales are a bit more curled up than I thought...

but when I carry it you can't tell at all.

I have decided that if you want a python silverado you have to expect it. Its curled up on the hard hit spots...like the part that hits your side when you carry it on your shoulders....and the part the little strap that goes over the bag hits the scales, etc

So, if I wanted a large silverado python I know it would come with time anyway and the bag is broken in and I got a good deal! what more can you ask for!

the most curling is where the strap that goes over the bag hits the scales.

Guccigal, that's a nice chocolate python!

I agree with you about the "used" parts...after nearly a year of loving and carrying, the scales on my silveradoes are curled on the spots you mentioned!

Great great bag, guccigal!!! Just be careful with the handles where the seams/joints are. For the Large, each handle is made of 2 pieces of leather/snake skin. The Medium has handels which are in 1 complete piece. One of the handles on my Large came apart at the seams, just a few times after I started using the bag! Have yet to get it fixed as I'm quite wary of bag repairers here. Apart from that, enjoy your fab bag!!!!

thanks baghag! I have noticed that already...I see that exactly when you are holding it when weight in it. hmm...I wonder how they would fix it...maybe just sew it with dark chocolate?

Try Henri Bendel's when last I went there (last week Tuesday) they had several Silverados including a brown leather one. Hope that helps!
