Chloe 'Silverado' Bag

I feel the same way about Ebay. It scares me to death unless you really know the seller.

Hmmm i don't feel that way about ebay at all. maybe it's because i have had such luck. i have bought some excellent items that i would have never been able to get my hands on otherwise.

i think it's important to really do your research beforehand and also not use ebay as a means of education. because i suppose if a shopper has only seen chloe fake bags on ebay listed as authentic than they could easily be tricked because they might believe the fakes are what the authenitc bag should look like.

of course all the fakes on ebay really disgust me and sometimes i feel like striking and not buying anything at all! but i also think there are a lot of wonderful and honest sellers. with the exception of accessories i believe there are more honest sellers than deviant ones.

The over 2000 dollars marked price can not be used as the indication and assurance that the bag is authentic. There are too many sellers who sell the fake bag at the price of the real bag. But there also reputable sellers who are selling the authetic bags.

yes which is why i said in general. :D i think in general the bags listed on the highest prices over 2000 seem to be authentic. of course there are always a couple that are not authentic. but basically all the authentic ones are sitting in the highest price range and majority of the fakes are sitting in the lower price range. regardless none of it assures anything until you have the bag in your hands or you are very familiar with the seller.

I want everyone's opinion. I am trying to decide between two python bags. One is the chocolate brown with bronze phthon or the cognac with tan python. HELP!!!! WHich do you feel is less trendey to use every year. Thanks in advance

I would vote for the bronze. I don't like the cognac/tan color combo at all. and I don't think it has anything to do with what's trendy, it's merely personal taste.

I LOVED how the bronze python looked in pictures... but it was a disappointment when I saw someone carrying it last weekend (probably it was also because the lady didnt carry the bronze well, made the bag looked like some cheap bag)... it looks nothing outstanding when it was on her hands, imho....
Bagqueen, if you have the opportunity to try and carry both - see which one suits you best (& your regular daily outfits)... just my 2 cents here:blush: :flower:

bbbochap - Here is the picture of the silverado Chocolate brown curtesy jujube. And the picture from aloharag.com. Mind you that the leather on my Silverado is quite thick and any scratch marks can be seen easily on Chocolate Brown colour. But that is the characteristic of saddle leather.

This is dark olive /green which is quite nice too. btw the choc brown picture from aloharag the lighting made the bag looks slightly different from the pic of jujube's bag. But they are the same colour.

The dark brown is GORGEOUS!!!! :woot: Looks so much nicer in actual pictures than the one seen in aloharag pic.... Klow-CHloe, you have this dark brown silverado bag too??? :p
You reckon the leather will age as nicely like the tan silverado leather that esiders posted of hers (hers looks distressed in her pictures)?
Btw, Does scratches include fingernails brushing across the saddle leather?

I'm almost 5'10 (5'9 and a half)...believe it or not, these boots sit 4-6 inches below my knees!

Here are pictures of my boots and the Chloe bag. The boots are beat up cause I wear them everyday practically:blush: . The first two pictures I took with the flash on, the last picture was without flash. I figured taking pics of them in the sun would give you a better view of what they truly look like.

esiders...thanks for your lovely photos of your fabulous bag & boots!!! The tan will definitely look better with age. Love it!!!

I don't have the choc brown silverado I have the python brown two tones. But I have seen the display bags in different colour and they seem all having the scratch
I reckon the leather will age well and turn out nicely like the tan silverado leather that esiders posted. Her ooks distressed in the picture.

Yup the scratches include fingernails but well depend how hard you are brushing across. Also if you bang or knock your bag against something it could cause the scratch marks.

Thanks again Klow-Chloe - the information you provided has been really helpful!!! :D I will need to think over about the 'investment' on this dark brown silverado now cos I am really concerned about the delicate leather... the last thing I want is to buy the bag and keep it in the closet after getting 1-2 nicks on the leather... (which I did for my celine leather boogie as that was another delicate leather to handle  )....

I had both - returned the Bronze and kept the Cognac/Tan. While the Bronze was pretty, it just seemed a little too much bling and the combo of the python with the metallic definitely made it trendier IMO. I think the non-metallics have more lasting power and seem to go better with the Silverado style as well.

The bronze python is a pretty colour but I have to agree with style101 that the metallic made the bronze more trendier.

Thanks for everyone's opinion on the python bag choice. I ordered both bags and will compare them and return one of them. I think I probally will go with the cognac one being it has less bling, but I have never seen the bronze in person so I will let you all know what one I decide. I should have them by Wednesday.

The cognac is light. Hos is it for wear or stains?
