Christian Dior Cruise 2026 and Haute Couture F/W 2025.26 Rome

They will probably have appointments, special lunch events for clients during the HC week.
Resort was presented to press and Dior clients but most of the clients will be in town for the week.

It will likely allow them to have a more specific approach for clients. And Couture at the end of the day, should be about clients.
Most definitely, just like CHANEL who shows Metiers D'art / Cruise collections by appointment during Couture week.
That week is too important sales wise not to show items to wealthy bored Karens LOL

Yes. A lot of Lesage embroidered pieces from shows anyway only get produced as presented on orders. What usually end up being produced is the embroideries-less versions so yes, they needs the wealthiest to keep up those ateliers. Indeed.

It’s a clean farewell collection with some glimpses of beauty. Of course she wouldn’t go off the rail for her last collection (probably of her career too).
I have no beef with this woman (there’s nothing wrong with being a commercial designer) but I don’t like the facts that most critics always walk on eggshell around her. Maybe she’s truly the head of a coven after all lol.
That’s also LVMH for you though. Designers don’t really do the blacklisting so much these days, it’s at the behest of the conglomerates. Plus most reviews published are now more PR and paid for.

I’m sure some of the creative directors might have some sway, but I think after that Hedi rant, PR has probably got this side of things locked tight. Defeats the purpose of a review but it is the way the cogs work these days.

By the way what a waste of the majestic Villa Albani Torlonia, it's on the same level of Reggia Caserta but the team really failed in showcasing its beauty. You don't happen to see such a stunning Place in the heart of a city. You couldn't see a damn thing judging from the collection video. What was the rationale behind the decision of showing at night? They Should have hold the show at dawn / dusk...

I have no interest in her work but she is a talented successful creative director unlike some favorites (Raf Simons).

She managed to make Dior grow, she had a couple of it products and her whole feminist marketing strategy worked.

But a shift is happening in fashion where it is not about being safe and making money. The same way Chanel could not just stick with Virginie, Dior could no longer stick with MGC.

I am sure she will not stay unemployed for long at all. Just wish that she stays very far away from Fendi.
