Another season, another pretentious 'feminist' slogan. I have a prototype: What if MGC just shut the f*ck up and quit her job? How's that?
It's just another Valentino remix and I hate it! She literally has the creativity of a goat.
“What if Women Ruled the World?”
If this is any indication of what that’d look like....then, Long Live the Patriarchy!!
Middle Eastern customers must be creaming themselves over this. All their summer weddings sorted.
Nothing else for anyone remotely interested in fashion design. Maria has the easiest job "directing" these collections: take one suit silhouette and 2 dress ones, change the fabrics and colours and embellishment each season and voila! You've got yourself a brand new collection.
Mia carissimma Maria..Vionnet style doesn't work well with such a messy palette.
What the fvck was that?
all those satin suits remind me an old rich middle-age woman at her son's big wedding, happy, glowing and worrying her Pekingese at home
And with that we can now close this thread. Truer words have not been spoken, convince me otherwise.
She should focus on climate change and produce less, that would be real progress lol. Also less eyesore for us.
Creativity of a goat ... I can't !
I agree with everything you said.
She’s still obsessed with waist belts and surface decoration. Cool.
The atelier must be so bored lol.
This is a very Italian collection. It could easily be Valentino.
She’s a kid on a bicycle without a chain. It’s not going anywhere. I can’t stand those belts and chains. Such a cop out.
I thought it looked very cheap except for the last dresses.
She cant rule any world without creativity
and couture is about it
let those easy pieces for Pret a Porter darling
Dior used rule the world
several years ago
Like Nymphaea noted, ' the shapes are unflattering'.
And that was a lot of shiny material. So much shiny material. Soo much.
Moodboard of MGC : the same but lamé
I rolled my eyes at the quote so big at the end, then saw the comments and thought ok you keep it there haha piss them off.. men designing nearly all of the womenswear and being more worked up about it than women is always a bit sad but also hilarious.. knowing her field she’s probably trolling but also milking that male-gaze instagram feminism of course. Let’s have it all both ways....
I thought the fringe dresses were pretty.. even some of the tulle ones too, then it gets a bit Marchesa..
