Christian Dior Jewelry : Catherine McNeil

wow. yeah this does look good.
thank you

i don't like it if honestly, just doesn't look good for me

I actually quite like this. Definitely one of the best jewelery specific campaigns I've seen in awhile. I find the contrast between Catherine's hair and the classic Dior grey background very interesting, and her body language is actually very strong.

Thanks for scanning this OhJane! :flower:

love those rings.. and the fact that she's covering her face :ninja:. I don't passionately and juvenilely dislike her as the trend seems to go, I just find her extremely unexpressive.. so if her hands can do the talking, that's just perfect.

i really like those rings. i saw them when i was in London, but seriously, i wasn't prepared at all to buy jewelry while there so i had to pass

(besides, i'm such a klutz, i lost a Gourmette ring already hahahaha. i'm such a lost cause...*sigh*)

I used to hate McNeil but this actually looks good .

Lovely! I love how unretouched they look, you can actually see the pores and lines on her skin.

If those are even her hands:lol:

I love the way the ad showcases the rings. I agree w/Mulletproof though about McNeil being extremely unexpressive.

Not impresssive. The wig does not suit her at all - looks like a poster from a cheap salon. Too dark overall + boring model.

^ I like how it's very dark actually, it makes the jewelry stand out more.
But I understand what you mean by the cheap salon comment, as her hair does look quite awful

The first shot is much better than the second... maybe because you can't see her face? Her eyes are still very dead...

Quite.

I doubt very much that they are her hands - the skintone of the lower arms and hands doesn't match that of her upper arms (it's lighter and pinker [although, they've tried to match them with fake tan/make-up, of course!]).

It would be very unusual for them to be her hands, anyway, wouldn't it? As I believe hand models are, pretty much invariably, used.
