Christian Dior Miss Dior in Paris : Monika Jagaciak

^I'm not sure I like it. I think I would have liked it more if she didn't seem like an unhappy little girl who's only in Paris because her rich daddy dragged her there.

^ OMG, I was thinking the same!! Probably would have been better with an older model.

I hope Sofia didnt direct this because there seems to be no real purpose. She is a girl in Paris and doesnt seem happy about it

where was Lily or Maryna for this
edit: I actually don't think any model could have saved this poorly
executed commercial. Maybe the print ads will be better

Not really a fan of this commercial. Monika look's rather unhappy and moody throughout the video. And I find it hard to imagine that someone could be unhappy while in Paris! Shame really, because I wanted to like this commercial the clothes are gorgeous. But to me Dior is such a light and airy brand. A happy brand. They are not like other labels who can do "moody" clothing/commerical and get away with it. It just isn't in their nature.

This looks amateur-ish and bad  I love Jac but not even for half a second does she make me envy her and want to buy any of the things she's wearing or carrying. Quite a pointless commercial, IMO.

I actually like the vibe of the live action portion of the video, to me the disconnect is that the music is light and optimistic and that does not the match the mood of the video - a moody jazz or a classical piece would have been better. To me Jac channels a younger version of the character that Daria plays in her Vogue Paris editorials / campaigns for Parisian houses or the same character that Kate Moss has played in umpteen beauty campaigns.

I'm not particularly keen on this commercial. I agree it's amateurish. Jac deserved better!

The video could be better with one or too cute smiles... it's too serious! nevertheless, Monika's gorgeous!

The video has no purpose. She's walking around in Paris, sits in a cab but obviously not going places, contemplating her new bag or whatever, and steps out again to do what she did previously.
I wonder who directed this because that person is not scoring points.

What's the point of the upbeat music? Why would anyone use that bckground music with Jac looking so grumpy?

I agree her mood doesnt work with the City or soundtrack

I wonder if her teeth could have been an issue here..

But the commercial in itself is good, just not what I would assume from Dior.. Is kinda like Karlie's campaigns.. They're good photographs, but not what I assume Dior to be as a brand..

And is it that Monika deserves better, or could she have done better?

i wonder why they couldn't have done those videos with Marion, since, i mean, they have her under contract already

Is this actually a campaign?
I thought it was only for the website, and about Marion, using her would've costed a lot more, even if I'm not a fan of the direction and idea of the video Monika looks as wonderful as always
