LOVE.

To think...Spring/Summer 2006 was a pretty commercial season on the whole...a very light, very pretty season of little dresses...lots of white....but seeing these ad campaigns makes me miss this time so much! Even when it was commercial, fashion brands still were compelled enough to still give you some visual impact. Something interesting and creative.

Always loved this campaign. Still do! Love how the backlighting highlights the transparency, while leaving Stella mostly shadowed...reducing her wonderful poses to great, engaging silhouettes.

Immediately remembered this campaign upon learning the news of Stella’s tragic death yesterday. What a terrible loss.

What a masterpiece of a campaign. I remembered being completely entranced when I was an avid, avid magazine and Christian Dior fan way back when. I have such fond memories of rushing out and buying all the new monthlies on the hunt for any new campaign images, and collecting the clippings to just sit and fawn over.

Same sentiments here. This campaign will always hold a special place in my heart back when I used to be an avid fan too of collecting fashion magazines and Dior by Galliano respectively.
