Oh, no! John passed his spliff over to Christian...

I'm not sure what I think of the dresses...they're okay/quite good...I'm not so big on the whole mania vibe...

You're definetly not alone, lots of Lacroix lovers here. ;)

Personally, I like and appreciate what Lacroix does. I love how mixes different fabrics, colors and different pieces of clothing themselves. Though I find some pieces a little too mish-mash sometimes.

Those aren't my favorite Lacroix looks, but I do admire his work...

Lacroix was one of the first designers I really loved, I just love his use of colour and fabrics, it always captures me.

I never liked LaCroix, he's just very blah. I dont think he's tacky, he's just tasteless. I do like what he does at Pucci though, but Pucci is very easy to design for quite frankly.

I think Ignitioned summed up his appeal very well, he's a genius with mixing colors, textures, fabrics, embroideries, inspirations and so on.

I think Lacroix is absolutely great and should stay around for ages! His clothes are always so magical.... Love the colours, the cut, the shapes....but I must say, even though the starting point of his couture collection is always different, the outcome usually looks alot like the collection's predecessor. So a bit more variety could be welcome. STil, I love him....and his RTW!

I'm a fan of the 'Christian Lacroix' facebook group and the brand seems to be doing some interesting things.. without the presence of Lacroix.
To me, it appears that they are starting to build the brand from the ground again - they're doing ordinary but wearable menswear and now they appear to be shooting a campaign for glasses/accessories.
What confuses me is that they keep posting archive fashion shows from Lacroix (the hour-long haute couture spectacles that the brand is celebrated for) with what appears to be little intention of bringing it/the fashion/the designer back.
It seems that the only reason this brand is continuing to live is to make as much money as possible from the sales of mundane objects [the polar opposite of the entire Lacroix aesthetic] that a famous name can draw in. If it's come to that, somebody please turn the life-support off!
