Christian Lacroix described his latest collection as a cruise along the Guadalquivir river in Seville, Spain, and the flamenco inspiration was clear in the bold polkadot and floral prints on silk dresses. Flowers popped and bright fuchsia, blue and yellow embroidery alluded to a bullfighter's cape. Strong colors were contrasted with neutrals such as camel-colored cotton piqué suits and dark blue denim.

I'm so glad plunging necklines are in style. I have a long neck, and these types of styles accentuate the length!

Such a beautiful print on the red/white dress! Reminds me of Chinese papercuts or something...

I love the first look but not the second one.

#1 thanks for the pictures
that red and white dress should be long

i'm hoping that there were will be more innovative development in floral prints... they often look so plain and look so similar everywhere. i could perhaps list some designers w/ good floral prints, but i won't... because i like Lacroix :D

it's the second look that catches my eye. i think those flower and star appliqués (?) are interesting... especially the flower with the wings  they're just like brooches; and that star at the bottom of the neckline: what a nice place to put it!

^oups! i reread it. it says embroidery, not appliqué :ninja: it would be cool if it was appliqué anyway! the poofy kind for quilting ^_^

I don't know...Maybe it's just too little to go on, but the floral dress has been done over and over in a plethora of colors. And the grey one just doesn't really look flattering. But it's not really ugly. I don't know; maybe I'd like it more if I saw more of the collection.

Like them both. I've got my eye on this collection.
