It's very, very New York.
There are some nice pieces scattered throughout, and I'm rather fond of the second look, but there's a lot going on. Very much a "throw it at a wall and see what sticks, but also lets get some glue to add a couple of other things just in case" in similar vain to Francesco Risso's Marni.
It does have a little bit of that Oldham or Mizrahi charm, which I think is something that Rogers and even Vogue have been pushing for. It is needed in the New York fashion sphere because they obsessively need their darlings, I just don't see the huge appeal of this. Also, people praise his designs a lot, yet a decent amount of them aren't that flattering... What gives?
