they look nice! reminds me a little of pirates somehow.
i think kate moss' in the first photo of this thread even looks like it's made of metallic thread, which is also nice. so it's like macrame or something like that.
i think these necklaces look cool...but i really want a plastic one...seriously i'd died if i had to carry a big chunky thing like that around....plastic is the way forward...plus i'm a student so alas i can't affordd yummy chanel and marc jacobs trinkets yet!!!
I bought a chunky chain necklace & bracelet a couple weeks ago (the links look like the Mcqueen ones). I got them at Walmart on sale lol... they feel heavy though & not cheap. They are by George & had a bunch of big ugly gold balls/beads hanging from them. I removed the balls/beads though & the chains are perfect now.
I like the chunky gold look but its a hard one to pull off. I think it takes a certain sort of person to really wear the look well and make it look chic as oppossed to very 80's and tacky. I think it looks best when everything else is very minimal.
Any of you girls with the MJ Stam bag or any of the MJ Stam clones I rec taking the chain off and wearing it as a necklace. It looks surprisingly good, its equal parts Kate Moss and vintage hip hop with the huge gold chain. I like to do that to spice up minimalist outfits. I've been debating picking up a seperate chunky chain necklace as of right now I'm deciding between one from Intermix and another from Club Monaco. I like the Intermix one better but the Club Monaco one is a lot less pricey. I can't decide whether this is a trend that will last (then I should spend) or one that will fade (then I should save) I wish I had pictures to show you guys
