Nice thread!. there's definitely a certain type of music for doing the dishes! .
Sonic Youth is my usual choice, especially Goo, I just know the lyrics too well so I can go all happily from start to finish enjoying every minute of my mundane activities.
Also Violens.. and many bootlegs that sound awful but they just get me in a good mood (Sparklehorse's Dragging Pianos, Jeff Buckley's Live at Arlenes Grocery, among them).
