I dont really have enough money to buy the nicer, more expensive bags i really like. I was thinking about buying a Coach bag though. Do you think these are too over done? i think that most of the designs are kind of classic, and could be paired with anything. I'll be near a Coach outlet soon and i know that those may not be the best ones you can buy but those are the ones in my price range, :( . what do you think? is it worth it? i've really wanted a more designer bag...i have the It bag but honestly am becoming sick of it...i saw two girls at the mall yesterday carrying two different looking fakes of it. its too much.

i just re read what i wrote and i'm going to stop rambling now. if anyone get what i meant from this post, please help me out!

I think you should go for a Coach bag. You shouldn't be bothered by what other people say about it not being "high-end" enough. It's considered an expensive bag for most average income people anyway. And the quality is very good for its price, in my opinion. I'd say go for it (if that's really what you want).

i love coach bags....

i'm just not fond of the signature print.. that's definately played out....i see at least 10 a day......(but then again, if you like it, then get it! that's been MY philosophy..i just don't like it, personally)

i have a gorgeous pink leather tote/carryall type bag (haha i think it's called like the small hamptons leather carryall, but it doesn't come in the pink color i have it in anymore...the pink that's available is a fuschia color now.. ) i love it...

but, a lot of the shapes are classic, they're good good quality, and some of the stuff is definately gorgeous....

i say go for it, as well...

some of the more fashion-end of the coach bags are nice.. but yea, i'm not too fond of the C's all over either... I've been in 3 diff coach outlets so far and all of them have had nothing that i was interested in.... so I wish you much luck with the outlet!!!

as long as you avoid the logo coach bags, you can probably find something nice, especially if it's a simple classic design and doesn't scream "COACH". their canvas-y (not just the logo stuff) stuff tends to look kind of cheap imo. I have a large black leather hamptons carryall and I love it because the shape is really lovely and it's very simple...I use it for books at uni and for everyday too and the quality is really amazing because it's held up through all the crap I've put it through...I couldn't afford anything posher, but I didn't want something cheap either, so it was a pretty sound investment. so I would say if you are looking for something a step down from the 'high-end' bags, something classic from coach is probably a good choice for you if that's what you want. :grrr:

I really like Coach's Hampton bags. However, they have some really nasty suede and "vintage" designs out now, steer clear of those!! The signature and mini signature really aren't the most disgusting of monograms, and I tend to want to stare at the Mini Sig........ Nonetheless, I really wouldn't recommend those, as they aren't going to last you forever and a day and they're also a current "trend".

I like coach, they are known for their high quality leather....If I were you I'd get an all leather bag, like the one here.....Forget the logos

I don't think Coach bags are bad. The leather is supposed to be very high quality, and some of the designs are nice basics. Stay away from the signature, unless you are very young, and even then it is kind of silly.

I agree with SoCalledPrep though, it isnt the worsed of the monograms. That Dooney and Bourke logo makes me sick.

so true...why did D&B jump on the bandwagon and create such a hideous singnature logo?

thanks so much everyone! i think i may go for a black bag with the logo or a leather one that is a bit more sophisticated. thanks again!

I'd love to have a Coach bag. Unfortunatly, since I'm of the age to were I can get a job, mommy refuses.

Coach has some great solid colored leather bags. They're great if you're looking for some classic pieces. Just whatever you do - do NOT get the logo © bags -UGLY!

ditto... :P :flower:

Maybe it's me, but I find Coach leather (although last time I touched anything by Coach was maybe 5 years ago) to be pretty low quality. It's very rigid, thick and heavy - hardly a sign of good quality leather. Maybe they have something better these days.

I disagree - my bag is really soft, high quality leather, very pliable. perhaps it depends on the type of bag and how expensive it was...?

I use a lot of Coach bags because I bang my bags up something awful and I like a bag that is a pretty decent quality but I won't cry when I have melted chocolate inside of it. I never had a problem with Coach bags and I always find their bags to be of good quality and well made. I don't have a complain about their leather either and I only use their all leather bags.

I like Coach bags too (the solid colored leather ones) The signature style is gross though.

I actually like Coach signature better than LV monogram. Where I live, every other person is toting around a knockoff LV monogram. It's beyond sickening.

I have a couple of Coach bags that I use for everyday things. I can be rough on my everyday bags and these have held up well. Coach has some good quality bags out there.

I've been contemplating the same thing for a while, going w/ Coach rather than something even more pricey.

I have grown tired of the signature design of Coach, and I've always thought it was rather ugly... but I may go w/ a solid colored Coach bag

Hello from a newbie who just fell upon this site
