Hey guys! It's that time of year again...Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2008!! As of right now, no lineup has been announced. However, I found a list of the confirmed bands from consequence.com.

Confirmed:The entire lineup should be coming out in about 1 week or 2.
So who's thinking of going? I'm for sure showing up for my fourth year in a row. I love this festival, even though it can be kind of tiring because its like 100 degrees.

I was just talking about it this morning. my friend says Portishead is confirmed too. it's not true, is it?

I also heard rumours about The Verve.

I hope Radiohead plays there again.. since they'll be starting to tour right about that time. that would be so awesome.

About Portishead, who knows, but it would be really cool if they went. I heard rumors about the Verve also. I'd love to see them live. And about Radiohead, a lot of people are saying they will play, and others are saying that their reps confirmed they aren't playing. I guess we'll have to see. Some people are also saying Bowie will show.

So the official list is finally here, from coachella.com

Overall I'm pretty disappointed, I think Goldenvoice could have done so much better. But, they did say they had some tricks up their sleeve, so we'll have to see who they decide to add at the last minute. Tickets go on sale FRIDAY at 10:00 AM (PT). Single day tickets are $90, and 3 day passes are $269.

yeah, it's rather mediocre despite having Portishead.. I'll probably go on saturday, just because it's been a while since I've been to Coachella.. but other than that, the festival is slowly dying conceptually. pretty sad.

.. and.. I was never big on The Verve but why are they opening for Jack Johnson?:lol:

Here's the poster. Third day is the one I'd choose, especially for Spiritualized, but I doubt I'll go. Just not enough of what I want to see..

Kimair, how was Mars Votla on NYE? Saw them on Letterman the other night, great stuff.

So many Australian acts on the Friday :woot:

would love to see The Verve and Tegan and Sara

i wish i could go. especially the second day. but no cash for tickets and gas money :(
anyway last year's line up was waaay better. so i'm not too bummed about it.

portishead?! :woot: where are the teasers and clips??????!!!!! i cannot believe portishead producing new material isn't such big news.

Sooooo excited. Might really go. It is between Coachella and Burning Man. I can't do both because flying to the US three times in one year seems a bit pointless.

OK, so single day tickets sold out. I'm pre-heating the oven right now before I stick my head in it. I just wanted to see Portishead! On my friggin birthday!

*big middle finger*

I would love to go see Love and Rockets. Man, I can't believe they got back together!

There is no question of me going, but that line up looks almost shockingly bad to me.

... that sounds pretty awesome, kanita .. all you travelling all the way to cali just for the festival?. :o

I totally miss-phrased that due to late-night posting:doh:

What I meant is that I couldn't possible go all that way for a fest..
