All the girls about town were there for David Cardona’s third collection for Bebe on Sunday night. There was Emilie de Ravin on hiatus from “Lost,” a flame-haired Lydia Hearst and the brand’s newest faces, Rebecca Romijn and Eva Longoria. It’s too bad, though, that Grace Jones wasn’t there too, all dressed up in her Eighties urban-warrior garb, because that’s precisely the sort of fare Cardona sent out en masse. Skintight minidresses accented with leather bandeaus or gold zippers mingled with sleeveless parkas or jersey evening gowns, many of which were topped off with hoods. Cardona also offered his take on the war with protest-print dresses or peace symbols on a chiffon blouse and scarves. Still, amid all that, there were some more wearable pieces, as in the wool or fake-fur bomber jackets, high-waist leggings and well cut pantsuits.
