Colouring ponyskin shoes?

I bought a pair of ponyskin shoes (leopard print) and when I arrived home, after a close inspection, I noticed that their color is really different...one is lighter than the other. Is there any way I can color the lighter one? Or make the darker shoe clearer?

if you put the darker shoe in a place with lots of light it should lose some of it's colour to match your other shoe.
