I like those suede ankle boots, but I bet they are not CdG, are they?

The one thing I didn´t like about CdG CdG is that it repeats itself so often, I mean, how many times did I see that cropped blazer jacket with small collar... even the circled raw edge finish had been there last winter, this is not very original...

I know what you mean tricot but it is supposed to be more of a basics range i guess. Its not so 'difficult' as the CDG mailine and with some of these pieces you can mix them easily with the mainline to normalise and make the outfits more wearable. The quality is very good and some of the little jackets you speak of, whilst not 'directional' fashion, have enough Comme aesthetic to make them interesting and to really lift an otherwise ordinary outfit to make it a really nice one (i.e outfit savers). I do like how CDG CDG is more understated and somehow subtle. I also like how a lot of the pieces can be worn in different ways. I do think this current season (a/w 05) is slightly on the dull side.

saying that, its all about how you work it, eg. I saw Colette mixing up some CDG CDG with Marni and it looked excellent.

I am a bit biased though, being a fan of CDG CDG.

The problem is, for a line that is supposed to be more basic and easy, the pricepoint is very high, we´ve had the last season´s winter in store and it was very difficult justifying the high price for what it is, I mean, most of these pieces are made in Hungary and would retail for at least 600€ upwards, I don´t see a difficulty by the design, it´s the price policy that I just find very questionable, given the fact that it´s a very basic range.
