Absolutely gorgeous. The detail shots are quite breathtaking. Thanks so much, Birna. :flower: ;)

I still don't understand the purpose of the jewels -- can somebody explain?

A lot of those jackets with rounded collars look pretty "cute" for a ghost/ephemeral theme, I love it.

perhaps this is my own ignorance, and if so, please educate me....

but i have to be honest.....

the structure of these clothes is fascinating.....and the quality looks superb.....but how do you all look at this and see "breathtaking beauty"...?? it hardly looks functional.....there's a very heavy mood to it all.....it layers and sits and hangs in a way that just drowns the ornate detail of each piece.....i cant make out where one piece of fabric ends and another begins.....maybe it is just a matter of personal taste....but i cant see too many pieces i could incorporate into my wardrobe.....that could be just me....i honestly dont intend to offend anyone....and i dont have a leg to stand on when criticizing here because i couldnt even begin to create such a collection, but i really do want to understand these clothes.....there's a darkness to it that i guess i just cant get past.....its almost threatening

^That definitely sounds like a personal taste thing, because those are some of the reasons I love it. ;)

...adore...you just have to learn to look at things from a different perspective, and train your eye to deconstruct... i can see a lot of these pieces working in different ways... i can even picture some of the pieces from the headdresses being worn as really nice necklaces... (in particular this one strip of grosgrain with flowers on)

right.....i guess it takes a certain skill...and patience i'm sure....a lot of which i dont really have sometimes...!!...

i think threatening is the right word, in a sense.....i like to get a certain feel from clothes.....and these ones really do quite the opposite for me....which maybe is part of the beauty and skill of it...that it brings up such emotion and reaction....

has anyone brought up that this looks like the mexican holiday day of the dead? it does make a lot of sense..a celebration of rememberance of the dead and the continuity of life..basically looking at mortality and the purpose of our existence--i could see that being very rei.

thanks brian for the extra pics :flower:

i was actually thinking the exact same thing, travolta :flower:
