aaaah! so much color, volumes, shapes, so amazing. Only Rei can go from the all-white fairytale of the last season to this explosion of color and constructed pieces with such nonchalance.
I like how she makes flowers out of the clothes and then how the flowers move onto the clothes - just like a poet would, she is playing with both form and content and suggesting they go together. Of course!! Makes perfect aesthetic sense!! Oh and the chintz coats are so very lovely. The pieces in #11 remind me of Alice in Wonderland.
papier-mâché meets origami?? j'adore! kind of echoes the ballerina collection some seasons ago with the voluminous stitched leather pieces and the tutus. i adore rei even more when volume is at the fore.
for me it's the opposite.. I love intricate Rei, with microscopic textures and 'fluid' silhouettes.. it somehow feels more poetic. But she does tend to revisit this every now and then, and then I just sit and hope for another season.
I don't understand what you are all seeing because this is a terrible explosions of garmets which are too and the colours don't flow properly, I dislike this and prefer the all white fairytale-esque Rei.
