more like they sold out of good stuff before i got there...
it was a last minute decision to go and it was the end of the second day...
they actually ended the sale a day early because they ran out of stuff...

the customers were mostly really young...
    it was very unusual...
amazing how a designer who is 70+ yrs old can have such a young fan base...
    :p

Hello, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, but maybe someone can help me. Does anyone know what was the original price of these Comme des Garcons 'Hands' Sarouel Pants?

i was in the comme flagship store, nyc a couple of weeks ago...
they are now carrying all of the cdg GIRL collection...
i must say...it all looks so amazingly good in person...
i wanted so many things from various lines...
    it was a bit overwhelming...
    my emotions started swirling up...

i just had to leave the store...

Bought my first piece of washed poly from comme comme...
A black full skirt w. Elastic waist and large soft pleats...

Very classic and basic piece that has been missing from my wardrobe...

    Can't find a pic anywhere...
Probably because it's such a basic piece...
    Wore it today...
    Feels great!
The weight of the fabric is wonderful...
blows and sways nicely as you walk...

Wasn't sure about such a large amount of fabric at first, it's a lot of volume, even for me, but I'm happy to report that it's completely excellent!

    Yattah!

I can't tell if it's the same skirt without seeing the waistband. Mine has an internal drawstring and big knife pleats at the waist

It might be the same. But, that's the general idea, yes! And I was definitely thinking about wearing a striped top like that with it sometimes- lol.

I really like the long satin piece. I looked at something like that at the Met in their CDG shop. They had quite a selection of comme merch, though it was mostly Play.

I also really liked that top when I saw it at the shop except that the "ruffles" are serged around the edges rather than raw and I don't like that! :(

This one looks different though. Softer and maybe w raw edges. Much better!

Thx for posting these pics runner!

they have to be good since they declare you cannot return them
    you are a bold buyer.

just noticed the almost zero price differential, checking the link.
also apparently the prices of comme comme are not bad while yohji is still priced crazily.

came across this latest comme comme piece which reminds me a bit of the yohji kimono coat from FW 2015. much more casual though.

    They are good!
I wore them on a rainy day last week and they were comfy and functional!

so- i guess that the 1/2 price markdown erased the price differential...
and the price was so good that i felt that it was worthwhile to take a chance, especially since you mentioned them again and then i saw them at the museum...
i haven't' been able to stop thinking about them, so i knew i would regret it if i let them go...
    ^_^

but - generally, comme comme is definitely more reasonable than other parts of the comme universe and certainly more affordable than most things from yohji main collection...
but i usually like it best because it is understated and elegant...
    avant garde without being ridiculous...
this makes it extremely easy to wear in a casual way...
    it's the perfect "filler"...
makes really unusual pieces more accessible and makes really basic pieces more interesting...
so i use these kinds of pieces with almost every outfit...
    :important

that coat is like a dream!!
it definitely gives me the feeling of that giant yohji padded coat that i still lust for...
it is also the shape that i would want if i would ever have a sable fur coat...
   ...
so i would wear that coat in the way that someone else might wear a fur...
and it would feel that luxurious to me...
   ...

    glad they turned out good!

what I checked on lagarconne.com were the comme air moc and a few comme comme items.
so, not sure about other main line stuff over there today.
but apparently the air moc US price doesn't differ from the JP price. if you get 50% off, you get better deal since any store over here has 40% off strictly, when it comes to comme.
I guess because it's nike, and the collab pieces can be like that. if so, the sacai's nike collections could have been internationally priced too.
as for comme comme, the prices do differ. but when it's sale, the US markdown advantage can erase most of the differential. we still get better deals even with 40%. but the prices rather approximate then, while yohji on sale, femme or +noir, hardly seems to be comparable, maybe until yoox.

my take below, half joking but half serious :p
comme comme is a conscience of CdG
her main line is an uncontrollable deed, desire, almost a sin
YY femme is a curse on yohji
or seeing all the collections she and he have done is like knowing their own medical records.
but the products of genius out of disease can make us devourers healthy/genki and later cultural.

that comme comme coat look also reminds me of sean young at blade runner. perhaps mostly due to the hair though.
but in that sense, it certainly overlaps with the image of someone wearing a fur, to me too.

here is the lookbook if you are interested
