Comme Des Garcons Homme Plus Spring/ Summer 2014 Paris

the super colorful prints just throws me into Jeremy scott land, which is not a good thing... While the super wrinkled pants and blazers can be interesting for an editorial, but it is one of the ugliest pieces I have seen in this season's mens collection..

i wonder...

i wonder why some years are skirt years and some years are not...
of course it isn't crazy or unusual to see skirts in any CdG collection...
but they come and they go...
i just wonder what it is that makes one year, a year for skirts and another year, a year for something else...

it's curious to me...
:innocent:

Amazing collection!!

In regards to when and why the presentation of skirts appears in one collection, but not in another....is all in the mind of Rei Kawakubo.

In some collections, the skirts are quite obvious....but in this collection....the longer pieces, worn underneath a shorter garment, gives the "illusion" that a skirt is being worn. It's all in the manner of deceiving the eye.

The tattoo print does look considerably familiar. I've see something similar presented in her women's collection from several years ago, and also in her most recent collection for the women's Fall/Winter 2013 collection.

Although the do look similar, I don't think they're identical.

I especially like the plaid presentations in this collection....and I do like that she added a bit of deconstruction into this men's collection.

I love the double-sleeve sport-coats that seem to be falling apart from the shoulder-line....and on the backside of some of the jackets, it appears as though re-attached fabric is peeling off.

The harness-like pieces are quite interesting, too...it seems like she's integrating some of her women's wear ideas, into her men's collection.

MARC10^^^^^Thanks for posting these amazing pics of the CDGHP collection.

The pics you posted are in GREAT detail!!

oh my goodness those ruched trousers!

needless to say, everything in the group of black, white and the grey i would wear in a second. and are those sheer panels actually skirts or are they more like aprons? i can definitely see the skirt-skirt shapes but just those sheer panels i love the way they give the pieces volume.

The Untidy–The organizers of the famed Met Gala were not the only ones to have punk on the mind as Comme des Garçons creative director Rei Kawakubo reclaimed the counterculture for her spring/summer 2014 collection. At the collection’s core were tailored pieces, encompassing jackets, trousers, shorts and skirts, but with patterns and a play with textiles, Kawakubo turned convention on its head. Appearing with cutaway jackets, deconstructed layers showcased elongated shirt hems and sleeves. Exploring wrinkled fabrics for an anti-smart appeal, the Comme des Garçons man was afforded a unique day in the spotlight.

Thank god we still have designers like Rei to provide us true creative pieces in fashion. Marvelous collection indeed!

I posted a video clip of the CDGHP 2014 collection......but it's NOT the "official" video of the show.

The video was made by a viewer in the audience.....not by a hired professional.

If anyone has the official video of this show....could you please post the link of the show on here??

Thanks!!

Thanks a million, COLINP.

Finally....the official runway video.

I was checking YouTube practically every day in hopes that someone would post something.

It's absolutely amazing!!

Except for the all-white presentations...I love EVERYTHING!!
