have been noticing lots of strong collars on shirts/dresses, peter pan collars or just removable collars...

Great Thread!

I noticed this as well and it's such an easy and affordable trend! I think I like the interpretation at Marni the best, they took it a step further.

I love the Balenciaga and the Miu Miu collars. The embellished one on Emily Browning was also really nice!

You are sooo on the spot!

Someone posted a thread on Peter Pan collars as a trend for this very same season!

I'm really interested in this trend actually...

I wore a collared polo shirt under a loose fitting ADAM sweatshirt that has a sort of basket-weave on the front just as a casual outfit with jeans the other day...
and i noticed a small stain on the collar when i was about to gather my things and walk out...
so, i grabbed a small silver giraffe pin that i have had forever (literally since elementary school i think) and i pinned it right over the stain and sort of embellished the collar...
and it was actually really fun and a good way to get some use out of a really cute, small pin :p

a nice way to add some interest to an outfit that may have otherwise skewed a bit preppy... which is so not me.
and an easy way to sort of DIY your own embellished/contrasting collar ^_^

i think i may explore further with some unstained collars as well

Awesome thread! I actually love a strong collar. Kind of makes a statement.

Wow, I love the fur collars at Marni! Time to go thrifting and vintage hunting! ;)

Love this style. Not sold too much on Marni but the Rodarte collar (2 actually!) is pretty sweet.

There is something about PeterPan collars thats so innocent, child-like and just plain sweet.

This is definitely something we are looking into incorporating into the web application for fashion designing we are working on :D

Brioni has awesome collars. I love wearing tops with pointy collars, they look so conservative and sharp :-P

I just love this one! The collars are always such a lovely motif to develop.

As the Guardian's fashion section would say, collars have been having a bit of a 'moment' as far back as Miu Miu SS10, remember everyone going nutty about their detachable naked lady/cat collars?

The Miu Miu ones were a tiny bit twee for my taste, but I really liked the collars at Carven, which are a bit less expensive I think.

It's cute, but my chest is way too large for collars. I stay away from high-cut tops since they make my chest look larger. Too bad...
