^I personally prefer this over most other collections for the simple fact that it doesn’t pretend it’s something other than affordable basics with a semblance of design.
People get their knickers in a twist when COS or mass market brands stage fashion shows when the truly pathetic showings are those of the so called “young independent voices”, oh but “he put Vietnamese three cent plastic sandals on the runway, like the ones his mother wore when he was a child”. Who cares?

I like COS. They makes the best tshirts.
I love a shirt dress and a tshirt dress and I always go there for those, as well as for their cashmere sometimes.
But for some reason, I always hate their runway shows. For me it’s such a place where you go to find pieces to create an outfit and not necessarily a place where you go for a certain aesthetic that their runway shows always feels unauthentic.
On the runway, with that kind of styling and set, it cannot not look like a cheap copy of something whereas in stores, a dress is a dress.
Maybe they should try to style it as looks that someone could replicate instead of trying so hard to be elevated and « runway ».
Like it’s something that I like with a brand like APC. The Touitou are totally aware of their place in the fashion landscape. Therefore, their stuff is styled as an idealized version of what someone could actually wear irl. No styling trick.
