okay, not very spacey at all...more mountainous.

this is nice though it's rather predictable for CW. i like the prints and the green suit is nice though i think i'd much prefer them in paler colours.

thanks again scott. :flower:

the setting is great and i love most of the clothes... the knots are especially nice... mybe it is predictable for cw but that's also how it's presented i think.
thanks for posting, scott.

I actually feel this is a bit different in a sense because it seems he's gone back a bit to his more "classical quirky" approach a bit with this. None of that overt nomad/camping style of the last collections except perhaps with the details.

I love it, very nice and even somewhat wearable clothes. Those balls/knots necklaces or whatever look particularly appealing! But the question is, do they really sell the same interesting clothes in stores as in shows? I am just curious. I remember I once saw some Cosmic Wonder clothing sold on a Japanese website, they look quite banal to me. BTW, which stores in the US carry Cosmic Wonder's stuff in the US? I know Seven New York does, does anyone know any other stores?

^Gigantic Brand in NYC does as well. That's all I really know.

I wouldn't necessarily say the stuff was banal but rather extremely simple and accessible. Yukinori's got a very Zen approach to his work so it often comes out rather quirkily clean. But he has done some whimsical stuff....just typically not what most shops purchase...especially what I've seen from Seven's selection. Unless,of course, you were also looking at his jeans collection...could've been actually since it's much simpler than his main collection.

i'm thinking this is rather interesting...
not completely practical...
but certainly more wearable that a velvet rope or rubber tubing or giant lumps...
:innocent:

i like the oversized beads...
reminds me of doing arts and crafts as a child...*at camp...
(maybe that's the 'camping reference'......)

and the oversized aspect lends itself to feeling small/childlike...

yep-i think it's lovely...

yes, you're actually right. perhaps, i overlooked on the detailings and how it's presented, like anna said. over all, i do like it very much. i agree that most of cw pieces are accessible, which is positively safe.

I like it and on a side note, this is the first time I've really noticed the Cosmic Wonder monochromatics... I wonder where I've been... color me blind...

:bounce: i really like this!.
love the balls..and the presentation as well.

^ agreed, maybe one of his best effords till now, i like when designers improve

his installation is superb.. but the bead necklaces are far from original..

interesting choice of words - I can definitely see that. I quite like the prints...I like the contrast between the modernistic aspects and the softness of the prints.

you can see S/S 06 samples including signature, jeans, accessary line and preorder the stuff at the store below.
it seems that you will get a card and something like key ring if you order something.
till Dec. 26

also, CW book and the lookbooks from the previous collections are available there.

Hmm..
I just visited the website and can't figure out how to navigate it...perhaps it's the computer I'm on ? It's a PC. But all I can see are the calender, designer index, shoplist, rank, and none of these things lead to the look book or the individual list of products. Nothing is clickable. :(
