thanks dfl-001 for the full Blac Chyna edit!

It speaks volumes that it took a tiny edition like Cosmopolitan SA to give Ciara a Cosmo cover, which has so far had two reprints (Serbia and Lithuania). While she's not that relevant anymore, American and British Cosmo have given plenty of caucasian celebrities of far less recognition multiple covers. case in point: Olivia Palermo.

You're most Welcome!
I'm a sucker for Ciara.
She is far more beautiful than many celebs that get the attention of magazine editors.
In some of her pics she reminds me so much of Beverly Johnson in her modeling heyday.
I'll never understand why she is so little seen in the fashion industry.

Agreed, especially about the Beverly Johnson bit. Ciara's got that strong and athletic African American type of beauty that we sadly don't see in fashion anymore. I'd even go so far as to say she'd be more successful than Chanel, Jourdan, and Joan if she went into modelling.

I could swear I've seen this cover before. Is this a reprint from somewhere else?

UPDATE! i just found a shot from the may 2016 ed in an identical dress, i think they've reused the shoot with a new interview.

OMG, are they using reprints for the US edition now?? Times must be tough! Unless Scarlett couldn't make it for the photoshoot.

It's not like Scarlett is the hottest celeb now isn't she? Because if your coverstar can't make it to shoot, then don't use her. She's not promoting something or even that big of a deal to warrant an "all or nothing" shoot and exclusive. This is a new low tbh. Never thought I'd see the day that they'll start using reprints. And can we talk about how badly edited that was. The way the dress was cut looks so fake!

There must be so many models/celebs that would to be on the cover of US Cosmo, and would bend over backwards to give an interview that would grab a few headlines.

^Its exactly what I don't get. They don't book photographers by the month because for sure their photographers have contracts with Hearst. And they don't pay for the clothes they use and they're not even focused on the slightest on fashion. Heck, they can have a coverstar wearing a swimsuit. So I don't get why they had to use a reprint?

And as said above, there are a lot of celebs who would do anything for this cover. It all boils down to the desperation of having her in the cover?

:lol::lol: Don't start me on that. I'm quite over it. It's bad of course, but simply they won't change their ways. The UK edition did, and I must say very often I part with my one quid just because the cover looks nice!

Maybe Scarlett sold well for them that's why they were so hell bent on getting her again? Still, it is a new low. You have the South African edition shooting global stars like Ciara (and Blac Chyna), and the US edition reprinting their own shots! Laughable.

And this will get reprinted across the globe. Reprint of a reprint.

the question is, will the accompanying piece use the exact same shots as last time or will they find some alternates from the same shoot?

This is the saddest attempt at cost cutting and using a specific celeb since HB used a tabloid photo of Angelina Jolie on the cover.

Wait, not only they use a reprint, they also use for the background the same "sunset" efect used on the masthead the last time... To me, that makes it even more evident!

She's not promoting something or even that big of a deal to warrant an "all or nothing" shoot and exclusive.

She is promoting Rough Night, which looks like a female version of The Hangover. A comedy that seems to be very on brand with Cosmo. I cant think of better magazine to promote it. Maybe that is why they want her on the cover so bad, shame that they have to use an outtake from last year cover story.

Im sure she was filming this project by the time her 2016 cover was out... LOL

who knew Olivia had such appeal to get all these reprints?

2/3 Years ago, certainly. But not now. Then again, pop culture is always starving for an it-girl, and since most are models nowadays (making them a little hard to secure for Cosmo), they must revert back to the usual. It's odd not to see Chiara Ferragni's face plastered across all these covers.....
