I've been tossing up between a pair of H. Lang jeans printed with a silver honeycomb pattern and a pair of Costume National jeans recently. It occured to me that I actually know absolutely nothing about this brand other than Ennio Capasa has some involvement and it's crazily cheap.

Could someone give me the lowdown, please? Which country it's from might be a nice start...

The Article posted by Seraphelle is probably more helpful. But anyways Ennio Capasa is from italy, worked with Yhoji Yamamoto in Tokyo, very sleek minamalistic brand.

It's just my opinion, but I think that Costume quality is not superb (and I know Macchiom disagrees with me :P ). I would go with HL. But then again if it's just a pair of jeans, maybe you should go with what fits better. Both Cosutme and HL have a nice fit.

I loved the ones on the right, I'd get those. I was considering them myself.

How funny! Today I’m actually wearing the exact same CN H pants as the one posted.

Be aware that there are metal in the fabric, and as they are unlined, they tend to be a bit scratchy if you’re not wearing long boxers.

I remember seeing the Helmut Lang Jeans on the left, last spring, I believe it was, and the wax is pretty weird looking in real life, IMO.

I also have a pair similar to the other Lang jeans, but mine are made of dark blue untreated denim.

As for Costume National; Capasa lunched the first women’s collection in 1986 and the first collection for men in 1993, and that’s when the label really took off.

He got his education at Brera Academy of fine arts in Milan before he travelled to Japan, as Spacemiu already stated.

And Faust, You know I think you should give Costume another chance! :ninja: B) :innocent:

Thanks for posting the article, Seraphelle! :flower:

Thanks, macchiom. And thanks again to everyone else.

I'm tempted to buy all three now...and I'll deff. keep watch on CNH in future.

 I still look at it, I just haven't found anything that caught my interest recently. I have quite a few pieces from 1999-2001 collections, which was my infatuation period with Costume.

You’re welcome, Prince! Just ask if there’s anything else.

And yes, if you can’t decide between them, just buy all of them! :innocent:

Right now, I believe my infatuation period will last forever… :P B)
