another underwhelming debut, who’s their customer?
apparently artemis (which is owned by kering) fully owns courreges now, can’t see this lasting very long
This one is even worse than Mugler because it feels sooo ridiculous. It's not even that modern to begin with and it's super weird at the brand known for its forward-thinking. The separates are so irrelevant that the best styling wouldn't have helped and the ones that were inspired by the archives are silly and too literal. The one good thing about Courreges now is that they want to stop producing pieces made of plastic.
At this point I'm curious what they want to achieve with the Courreges revival because the Coperni duo (and those guys were perfect for the job) was fired and that Yolanda who thinks that, for example, putting horrible wigs would be COOL got the job.
So, they fired Arnaud & Sebastien for this?
Pure non-sense, pure gimmick, pure trash...
Another fail in the making.
No no no... what a mess. What made Arnaud & Sebastien's collections so great was the fact that they perfectly captured the true ethos of Courrèges and translated into contemporary, fresh and desirable clothes. This is the opposite of that. Heavy handed on the references and just plain ugly! Big fail.
Cheap looking streetwear mixed with literal copies from the archive; with some logos here and there (I have always thought that Courrèges logo is horrible. It would be better to avoid it).
Awkward... The last look my eyes
All the amazing archives and she gives us a pile of trash. It's tasteless and ugly. If she has a voice it's not showing here.
@GivenchyHomme Trash is simply too kind a word. This is truly an embarrassment of epic levels.. Shock tactics and poor styling only heighten the fact that this is a very, very bad collection.
She will be fired very soon. Especially now with Kering having full control of Courreges. What a waste of fabric and time.
They should call Sebastien & Arnault, give them total creative freedom. They were very clever and their designs were what Courreges needs!
@Lola701 I am not on your side this time for Sébastien and Arnault as I was never fond of their work at Courreges
Honestly we don't need this brand in the fashion landscape so they can close it and we all be fine.
