CR Fashion Book #11 by Steven Klein & Mario Sorrenti

The sight of the late Prince sharing a cover with a random celebrity child is making me uneasy. It's disrespectful and there was no need for it.

I'll obviously get the Prince cover not only because it's Prince, but also because his shot looks much better than Lily's.

Fashion is really in dire need of a shake-up from top to bottom! I'm looking at these covers and I can't imagine what went through the team's mind to publish this. Empty, nondescript, and zero energy!

I wonder how Carine was now able to get Klein on board.
Either way I don't know what to think of Lily's cover, on one hand I enjoy how simple it is. Nothing too flashy and a great emphasis on the subject. On the other hand, Lily doesn't seem like the right person under this light.

On CR's Website there's a couple more preview covers. Lara by Klein and Cara Taylor and Alek Wek by Mario Sorrenti.

According to their website, Prince's cover is actually for CR Men's Book Issue 5.

Thanks for clarifying that, it makes much more sense for him not to share anything with Lily-Rose.

I also saw Lara's cover on Instagram and man, it's bad. She does some weird slouching and is in one of those Balenciaga cakes that closed the last show.

I am getting tired of Lara. There are plenty of other established models who could be getting some of her covers and do a much better job. Lara's energy lately hasn't been so great. She needs a break.

I know she's super young but I'm not sold on Lily-Rose yet...there's nothing haunting or exquisite that she communicates in photos

Carine used to be a genius of fashion.....

Now there's horoscopes on a dodgy website and covers with no fashion ideas or innovation :(

Ps I'm not a hater. I only want to see Carine laughing in the purple rain :pink:

I was wondering about this as well. Not sure where I got this but I remember reading somewhere that Condé Nast had this kind of ban where the photographers that work for them can't shoot for CR Fashion Book o something to that extent.

I get the Prince "1999" reference with Lily but this is quite random in this time of the year...

I like Lily's cover. She is an interesting face and she is quite striking like her mother was during her youth. I have a soft spot for her.
Beautiful cover with horrible try-hard text.

They did in the beginning but her magazine has manage to have a place of it own plus, Carine has a lot of support from advertisers: From Chanel to LVMH, from Max Mara to others + Hearst support. She can have big names...But i don't think she can work with all of them. Meisel, Demarchelier, M&M or even McDean may have different types of contracts with CD.

It must be weird to shoot campaigns with all those big names, have your common work on your magazine but yet not being able to actually collaborate on the actual magazine.

This may being a great cover and her name a force that still matters, i don't think that CR FASHION BOOK is a magazine that counts in the fashion landscape. She doesn't have a strong team of stylists, it's not a magazine that can push a model's career and it's not very influencial in terms of style.
That's my problem with this magazine.

Alek by Sorrenti is the only cover that truly matters but I am always here for a Prince moment.

I saw Lara's cover and it's beyond awful, she's been part of every issue of this dead magazine... Get over it, Carine!
