Spotted the new face of De Boekers Daantje Lammerts!

Happy to continue our list of spotted models with the new face of De Boekers! Let us introduce one more Dutch beauty who started walking on the path of her modelling career, Daantje Lammerts! She is 16 years old, born and living in Amsterdam. Daantje is also modelling for the agency called Established in London. Fun, sweet and always ready for shopping ( as she said, you can wake her up for that!) Daantje was scouted while she was on a concert with her Dad in London and now her mother agency is De Boekers and she is very happy with it! Daantje is into fashion and if you read the whole interview you will find out what is the main reason for that! Her parents are both working in the fashion industry and when it comes to dressing, Daantje likes getting her fashion inspiration from magazines and most of all, she likes the style of her mom which is similar to our lovely model! Playing a piano is one of her skills and she would like to go back to it. What else? We will let you find out the other important details from our spotted star’s interview! Describe yourself with a few words:
This question was a hard one to answer by myself, so I asked my best friend. She said that I am a sweet girl, I am adorable when I am angry, I think a lot about other people and I am a really good friend. I think I am also a little bit lazy.
What are you hobbies and biggest passions?
I don’t have that much hobbies. In the past I was playing the piano and actually I would like to follow lessons again. Another hobby of mine is watching a lot of series! For example: The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, Prison Break and I am starting now with Game Of Thrones, House and The Originals. Shopping is also one of my favorite activities! You can wake me up for that.
When and how you started your modelling career? Were you scouted by somebody?
1.5 year ago I was in London with my dad, we were on a festival in Hide Park where The Rolling Stones gave a performance! We just walked around the grounds and then suddenly a girl was running to us and asked if I was a model, so I answered no. Then she gave the card of the model agency which she worked with and she said that I really should become a model. A few months later the 2 ladies who work there were in Amsterdam and we had an appointment, since then I am with their agency. Of course London is very nice, but I can only travel by myself when I am 18 so my parents said maybe it is smart to look also for an agency here in Amsterdam. Our neighbors had a friend who had contacts with agencies so since October I am with De Boekers and they are now my mother agency! I am very happy to be with them!
Did modelling influence or change your life? If yes, how?
I just started modeling, so this work don’t have influence on my life yet. Maybe in a few years my life will change, but for now it is hard to say that it influences my life because the things I do aren’t that different. I am working on my portfolio.
Are you doing catwalks?
I was just asked for 2 catwalks (my first 2) but I am sick right now, so I can’t do them. So bad. In the past when I was a young girl I walked show for Protest.
Have you dreamed to be a model?
Actually it was never a dream to become a model. When the girl in London came to my, I started thinking about it. I just thought, why not? Let’s do this and see what the results will be.
One thing that you love most about modelling?
The hair and make-up stuff.
What is fashion for you? How would you describe your own style?
In my family, fashion is a very important thing. Both of my parents are working in the fashion business, so every day I am in contact with things about fashion. My own style is secretly a little bit the same as my moms style, but she is most of the time too neatly to my opinion. I am very picky about jeans, the most important thing of the whole outfit are the jeans for me. If the jeans are good, you can wear everything on top! So I have jeans in my closet, I love high-waisted jeans but not all the time. I wear many basics actually, but the basics have to be something that nobody else have.
What is your must have for the season?
For now I am still searching for a winter jacket!!! I can’t find a nice one!
Fashion/ beauty icon that you admire?
I don’t really have an icon that I admire, I read a lot of fashion magazines. The magazines are more my inspiration and the people around you also have an influence on your style I think.
A fact about you that we don’t know?
Every time I am standing on a pedestrian crossing I only walk on the white stripes. And I am allergic to cats.
What makes you laugh and what makes you happy?
My friends and family can make me laugh and music can really make my happy. Music can do many things with the way how you feel at a moment.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
From my mother, the magazines and the people around me.
How do you see Life through your eyes?
I see it as a thing that you have to live in the moment. Don’t look in future and make troubles about that. You have to live now, in this moment.
The things that are worth fighting for are?
My friends and family. They are really important to me.

3: Chandelier- Sia, this is not the music I like, but I have a very good memory with this song. This year we went to Texel with school, and it was a very nice week. This song reminds me of that fantastic week.
How do you imagine the future, what does it hold for you?
I don’t know yet. First I have to finish school, then I will see what I am going to do. I am 18 then so I can do what I want, I think want to do an English course, but I don’t know where yet.
