Daily Exercise

Can anyone tell me exercises that I can do in my bedroom?
I know it's stupid but my mum won't let me go out jogging or anything (she seems to be "worried about me" because I'm "loosing weight").
Especially ones that work on my legs (get them thinner, I have massive legs from trampolining...)

maybe you can do the jumping-rope (if your room is big enough) for cardio and them some pilates.

i have the same problems with my legs :(

you can do abs & push ups at home. but I don´t know how can you put your legs thinner doing exercises at home. there´s one exercise that girls usually do on the floor to work the legs & butt but I don´t know how can that help you. you can do for example an exercise that you "sit on the wall" like you were sitting on a invible bench & stay there until you can´t more but that I don´t think it work that much for you either.
Try to convince your mother to let you go out jogging.
 
I always thought that targetting exercises don't work... they strengthen but cannot actually reduce fat... that's more of a cardio responsive workout...

anyhow.. i do walking lunges and rowing squats... those really kill and you see the toning, although you do shrink while toning.. if that's what you're after
 
that looks tough^^

since i have also a problem with my leg, what would you say to my "cardio-problem". i can do easily the elliptical for 1.5h, but i am not fit at all when it comes to running.
i feel like my legs got bulky by the elliptical (eventhough i don't do that much resistance). well, maybe the fact that i don't eat right most of the time influences this too...

anyway: do you have any tips for me?
 
yes, you have to eat very well before you go to the gym. happened to me that today I was going to do swimming later in the morning but I woke up one hour before the hour I supposed to be there, so I couldnt go, well I could but I would go with nothing in my stomach & I wouldn´t have a good training.

elliptical is totally different than treadmill, treadmill is the same as running, elliptical not.

I would say for you to do both machines at the gym & would not be a problem.
do always a good stretching training before you exercise. like this one on this post #4533

i will try to do the treadmill as long as i can i then, to reach my goal of 45-60min cardio, do the rest of the time the elliptical.

i really hope that i become fitter with the running!

i once read that, if you want to burn fat, you should work out on empty stomach. since i (usually) finish my workout at like 12 or 1pm i eat wayyyy too late my first meal of the day.

so i guess that i should eat now before the workout. not eating breakfast slowed down my metabolism (this is what it feels like).

and i am guilty of not stretching before ^_^
so this is going to change.

you really have to strech before the training. strech very well your legs until it hurts you.

well I dont need to lose fat I actually want to gain more weight & mucle so I really have to eat very well before doing swimming(which is what Im doing right now) because if not I wont develope as I should.

60min elliptical, 20 treadmill, crunches
and stretching before and after
 
^well done, I forgot to say to stretch after the training too. I see that you are doing treadmill too & not only elliptical, that´s good.

i really try to do the treadmill, but it is sooo tough to me. i never really jogged, ran in my life. so i have to start slowly, because beginning of the year i was trying to run; after a while my thighs hurt really bad. i think it is because i overdid it. so i don't want to make that mistake again.
 
today 30 min ellpitical, 15 min treadmill, light weight training for the arms.
 
1 hour elliptical, 30 min walk in incline, 20 min gymnastics
 
I logged 176 miles of cycling last week. In the summer I push past 250 miles a week regularly. I don't recommend it for everyone. It's time consuming and dangerous but I simply enjoy it. It's easy to get hooked especially if you enjoy the outdoors. I refuse to cycle stationary--boring. Sportswear is so advanced nowadays. I have all kinds of cycling specific apparel. It doesn't get cold very often where I live. The cycler tan is unavoidable but I don't care, I'm having fun. One side effect is that I lost 25 pounds in less than a year and I'm still losing.

Dress for the crash. It isn't a question of if. It is a question of when.

Yeah it's just a simple deep squat, nothing to it. I like lunges, especially uphill or at an incline, and deep squats, and machines that are controlled for my butt workout.

Nothing yet today, still morning here, I meet up at the gym later. Yesterday I was out running and got caught in a horrible rainstorm...no raingear either because it was sunny one minute and cloudy the next. Thankfully someone offered me a ride. B)
