I love this! It still retains the whimsical nature of his previous collections, but I see more structure in this. Which is good, because in past collections he tended to go too far into abstract Japanese shapes (the whole Yohji thing).
very dark but Beautiful!!
Each season his clothes get bigger and bigger. I do like some of the jackets (the more fitted ones). And the fabrics look splendid as usual.
Btw, from SS 10 he uses a new factory, which should lead to better quality. The downside is a rise in retail price with about 30%
I quite like the cohesiveness and allure but am not able to connect aesthetically with it myself.
I'm simply not the type of intello but can see there would be others such as editors, photographers, artists. It rejuvenates the look started by Issy Miyake, Yamamoto and even the italians like Armani in the 70's.
It's perfect for Paris, in fact.
It's an interesting collection, especially there is the medieval mage element in it.
i love this. its damir doma but more refined.
where are the braids
i'm kind of getting bored with the whole monastic silhouette. as you can see in the tailored jackets,he's not a bad tailor so i don't understand why he can't utilise it more in the shapes of the coats.
i like the monastic silhouette ...
i'm not saying i would like this all. but i can have a better attitude with a lot of those. this can fit me - sure i wouldn't wear it like on runway (+ i do hate boots in jeans). i would balance. like this grey anthracite coat + the scarf and a pair of jeans. it's perfect.
some stuff looks like bathroom style. especially one !
too bad it's increasing !
Those shorts.. I need a pair!
You should take a look at pictures taken in front of the clothes, instead from the side, it's even more huge
Indeed, his more tailored pieces are very nice and his first collections were some of the most inspiring I have seen. But when I look at the stuff that's in stores now (SS10), I think few people will be able to pull it off.
Off course, his cashmere T-shirts and footwear and accessoires will remain very sell-able and I think that much of the profit from those items will make up for the declining sale of more 'out-there' pieces.
I don't really get the appeal. Some pieces are wonderful, but the cast is strange and I'm not feeling the vibe of the show...
Is it possible that one of you may politely tell me the names of these two models?
Or is there a place on the forum where they list the models from each show?
btw- I think the collection is amazing! Im surprised that some of you were inable to discern the Asian theme threaded through the collection. The collection is a play on/bend on a traditional Japanese kimono, the Chinese tunic, even the Malaysian baju melayu. Awesome!
