I think it's because she's old money, most people we see dripping with diamonds are new money and don't have the aristocratic air to them that Daphne does. That sounds terrible but she wears them with such elegance.
She looks insane at the Chanel event. The outfit is insane (in the best possible way) and her eyes are REALLY insane.
