Darya Kurovska

she has an ed in zoo magazine, the german one not the english one!
it is the most recent issue with letitia casta on the cover

A new ed again :woot: Can't wait to see it, thanks for the info! And Starry Night, I totally envy you ^_^ I can imagine she must be even more outstanding in real life...

On the one side she isnt beautiful at all and doesnt even look like a girl. But on the other side she is more than unique and also looks extraordinarily . So I always look at her pictures and try to figure out what makes her look so wow and eye catching.:buzz: shes great:D

I saw Darya last Friday at 1 oak. She definitely stood out despite the fact that there were at least 20 other models there for some party.

Hmm, call me crazy but 1Oak doesn't seem like the place a 16 year old should be on a Friday night. :judge:

^ :woot: Haven't seen this before -so, big thanks for posting! She looks so darling in it  Especially in the end where she's sitting on the window-ceil. Lovely.

Lovely the video, Darya perfectly suits the mood of it  I'm especially in love with the moment when she's looking in the mirror :crush: Thanks for posting!

just went through her entire thread, and I have to say there really is something about this girl. she's very boyish, and I like that. also she looks great in print and in candids, the only questionable part is her appearance on the runway. but she's still young and there is time for improvements. anyway I found these and they are new

I just love the fact that she always looks so carefree and easy-going in her candids. Of course, she still IS very young, but it really seems like she doesn't have lost this sort of "childish" energy and airiness. About the boyish-looking part, well, I guess this is just part of her appeal (and only one more reason why I love her so much ^_^). And the way she dresses herself and moves in front of the camera just adds to this appeal. So, to me she's truly one of the most intriguing girls out there right now.

Has this already been posted?

Does anyone know what it's from, or what the video was made for? Looks like an ad for something...

i have to say Darya looks much more intriguing on film rather than in print, there's some delicacy about her face i haven't spotted in her editorial work yet (partly due to the constant exploitation of this severe uber-austere hungry-and-lost-in-despair look). i still do hope that will change, as while her face is very much of one-of-a-kind, it doesn't bring much versatility nor freshness into her book.

and i enjoyed her Wonderland edit. while the same 'one face/one expression' issue is still here, the styling is quite striking. i can see where they bring her and why they do it, but i wonder isn't anything else this girl could deliver?

Well, I think partly agree to this. She seems to be stuck in that "frowning tomboy-ish look" - at least this is how most of her editorial work looks like. And well, maybe she is still a bit awkward with all the posing (though, she certainly is expressive in what she does) but IMO Daryas potential is increadible!
And this ed just proves it once again to me. Thanks a lot for posting! :flower:

I love Darya being such a tomboy in editorials, this kind of styling always suits her  I have to admit though, that she absolutely has the potential to show something more. I'm sure that even her type of look isn't 'easy', she can be more, maybe...feminine, because in her tomboy look she has something very girly

I'm 100% in love with this side of Dary though :crush:

Darya again has an editorial in VI June 2009!:clap:
"All Tomorrow's Parties" by Steven Meisel
Models: Dorothea, Meghan Collison, Nimue Smit, Julia Hafstrom, Anna de Rijk, Sara Blomqvist, Darya Kurovska + male models

This is from the editorial by Meisel from current Vogue Italia

Is that the only shot?

I hate it (styling, etc), but I'm happy for her.

Well, the styling of that whole ed may be a bit hard to get in general (at least it is, for me) and I also was a bit dissapointed when I only spotted Darya in one single pic of it (because I went crazy when reading she was in VI again). But I have to say I'm totally happy for her being part of that great cast and even if I really dislike this ed, I think she totally fits in!
