yeah, same here. I usually love them season after season because they tend to show girls' beauty in a way that far distant from the 'barbie' look most agencies try to accomplish but this is too much, especially cause it's clearly not about the girls anymore, it's about the concept, the person who came up with the concept, the photographer and the stylist.. which I don't doubt they're all the same person.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Supreme showcards too. I loved last season's version, cause it was showing natural beauty of models and now, if I wouldn't know it's Darya and that she's beautiful I would think it's just another model which looks strange with this make up.... But hey, we know it's Darya and I just can't wait to see her at runways again!

Perhaps it's just me but I love the expensive luxury crafted in these showcards. I think in a time when fashion is trying to play it safe (read: recession) it's refreshing and completely unexpected to be given such overt oppulence. Perhaps the MDC scans were just a little muted because the colors on the Supreme Being blog seem to be so rich and saturated!

her look is just incredibly raw!, so unpolished and impossibly young.. not necessarily young in her looks but her attitude, the way she poses, it's so unpretentious and naturally.. cool?, I don't know what word to use, but I just loveee it!.

Darya Kurovska might look like any struggling Eastern European model. But this girl is different. The 17-year-old has already solidified her spot on top runways, walking for Marc by Marc Jacobs and Marni. However, she truly shines in editorials. The ingenue has the same charm as Natasa Vojnovic, energetic with a dash of healthy aggression. Just look at her Polaroids to the left! She's got an avalanche of editorials raring to break in upcoming issues of i-D, Another Magazine, and V. Also, look for her in two editorials in the premier issue of Katie Grand's long-awaited LOVE magazine. With Grand behind her, we don't expect those bookings to slow down any time soon.

Fall 2009

"Medieval Mod" was the inspiration behind Vera Wang’s Lavender Label fall lineup, although it was anything but costumey. Wang shifted gears toward structured shapes mixed with the delicate chiffons and crisp linens that are true to her DNA. She played with lingerie touches, such as hook-and-eye closures and stitch-seam details, on sheer camisoles and chiffon-inset dresses. Outerwear was key and came in bonded techno fabrics on coats and capes. Wang also offered a new footwear collection and an expanded jewelry line.
