it is expensive, but actually the clutch is not a small size at all. i don't have the measurements, but i remember wondering if it was almost too big.

I feel like so many designers are going the metallic route for this coming season. Are you guys liking this trend? After a brief flirtation w/ a very bling-y hobo, I've decided that it's not for me. It also probably didn't help that every time a plane passed overhead, my friends would tease like "dude, they think you're signaling them!"

I don't mind metallic bags, but a lot really has to do with the design.
In this case, I don't feel that the DL bags look great in metallics, at least not in the picture above.

the new season is much better.. those patent bags are actually not bad. i ordered a clutch for myself. the first one posted
also that big black leather/ croc is so expensive that even at cost it made me gulp!!!
but they also do it in all plain leather and it is supposed to be their big bag of the season..

oh my gosh- where is the hildegard on sale? i could not find it on NAP!

i saw another hildegard at a party-- this time it was the oxblood instead of the black. i just about died, it looked so yummy.

but i would wear the black much more...as long as no one thinks it's too boring. i really cannot exchange the present afterward, so if anyone thinks i should get the oxblood- please speak now or forever hold your peace.

i've been hinting and hinting to my mom that this is what i want for christmas. if it is on sale, i think she would definitely relent.

^spiral it's definitely not goldy at all irl, but rather a very muted brass color.

good to know. i love the bag with the zips in the very first post of the thread but the hardware looks really gold and gaudy and tacky in the pics.

I ordered the Persephone from NAP (on sale) and I must say, it was the heaviest bag I've ever held. I thought I was going to fall over and it was empty! It is going back - too big and too heavy for me.

speaking of which, I saw a bunch of new hildegardes at barneys in nyc today, the metallics and a distressed white...and they were still heavy as hell, no improvement from the first ones released at all.

I thought that Tod's was taking over manufacturing for the main collection (not pre) on and hence the weight would come down for the March deliveries?

i'm back from vacation, and i am so excited to post my derek lam bag for the first time!

i hinted alot to my mom that i wanted a black one. the big surprise is that she gave me cash instead, and i got this one from my boyfriend.

so far i love this bag, and everyone that sees it on me asks me what it is and where i got it from.
