hi ladies... i jumped into DSW at Union Square in Manhattan today to poke around and there was a Derek Lam Hobo in the wine color for sale. it was very very nice.. very soft, no scratches. and the price was 1499.. not sure if this is much of a deal or not, but it was a nice bag... to heavy for me tho.
there were also some paddingtons.. not so nice.. sort of stiff. and some other things too..

Thats insane. I may just have to go over there an inspect this. I can't get another wine colored bag but I just want to see this. I never find anything good at DSW

well, i am not much of a Derek Lam expert, i do know my balenciaga colors! but it was not purple.. it was like a bordeau, sounds like it was oxblood..

After much thoughtful consideration I've decided to keep the oxblood. I was worried the color was too similar to that of my Paddington and I was feeling guilty since I've done quite a bit of shopping this week but I figure I ought to keep it since its such a rare find. Thanks to all you guys for swaying me in the right direction

I will take pictures 2morrow once I have my digital camera with me.

Luxx great decision!!! i TOTALLY miss the union sq DSW - i got such great designer stuff for so much less, and like Guessgirl said, here in DC its all nine west, etc... sigh. my best shoes come from the union sq DSW, including a pair of casadei boots that were originally $600 but marked down to $200. ok totally off topic - anyway, can't wait to see the new pics!!

I love the color, its the perfect raisin shade.
