I searched and didnt find a similar topic..hope this is the right forum

Two years ago, I started doing alot of short business trips, and have been using the same Delsie rolling/airport bag
It's heavy, but a nice shade of blue

Flipping through a magazine, I saw a beautiful Prada, purple with flowers and around EUR 700, something I find reasonable given the number of trips I take (and since im slowly turning older..might as well travel in style  )

I tried searching online and couldnt find it, so if I ever buy it I'll post a pic

Was wondering though if anyone has seen it, and if it is as nice in real? If not, what other cute designer bags are out there? I dont really like the classic LV's, but havent tried them either to be honest...

thx in advance:flower:

Prada Shop in Holland?

ok its official: I want the trolley!
would anyone know the telephone number of Prada luggage Shop in amsterdam? or anywhere in europe who I can call and make an order from?

Thx:flower:

If you're going to check your luggage in - I'd avoid buying designer luggage - it is more likely to get stolen. It really isn't worth the risk.

There was an excellent article about this in travelplus magazine last month - if I can find it, i'll scan it.They advise you go for something good quality but understated such as Samsonite or Globetrotter. There are lots of dodgy baggage handlers out there (thats why the nickname for Heathrow is Theifthrow ), so best to save the style and logos for your hand luggage.

Always, always lock your baggage too - I've friends who don't who have had their designer shoes etc stolen out of their cases because they didn't lock them.

If you have a laptop, avoid carrying in an obvious computer case (such as one with the apple logo on the outside).

I've been a pretty busy business traveller for about 15 years now, I've always been careful to use bland, cheap luggage, which I lock and I've had no problems at all (unlike many of my colleagues).

As said, I wouldn't recommend buying luggage that you won't be carrying with you IN the plane or whatever place you're going. Those baggage handlers don't care about your fancy bags or trolley and will throw around with it or even open it if they're aware of the value, checking whether there's something worth a lot in there. And they're not afraid to do that with a knife..

Regarding the Dutch Prada thing: Prada doesn't have a shop in Amsterdam at this time :(. I don't think there's another shop that carries Prada luggage in Holland either. Unfortunately I face that fact day by day

If you want something more stylish - Mandarina Duck do some nice trolleys, that stand up to the wear and tear, but are understated enough to not catch the eye of a thief.

Thanks guys :)

I won't be checking it in-it'll be for short trips (2-4 days), so either in a car/train, or with me on the plane
I'd cling on to it for the life of me hehe

Mandarina Duch are cutie!! I'm checking the site now, haven't heard of it before...The reason I liked the prada was it's purple (my fav color), and had flowers all over

I'll try to take a pic from the Mag and post it here
